Yes, A did, but make some changes by my self last night and.....had to start over.

Now I Have clean installation on my laptop.

Above screen shot shows first good step... Next step would be to install a correct smbios... your CPU is Ivy, so you should be using an Ivy laptop smbios. Then custom SSDT, the DropSSDT=Y, GenerateP/CStates=N, as described in the PM post.

You mean the fresh installation maybe?

So, should I press install and then use Chameleon Wizard?

Yes, power management is the first thing you should do after a fresh install.

Yes, please read and work through the entire post.

Hello again,
I succeeded with the power management, but now I'm struggling with the GPU. As I see it is NVIDIA GeForce GT650M only. I have no Intel HD400, not in the BIOS mentioned, even booted linux, just to see that the HD400 is not listed in the "lspci -nn" list.

I'm reading a lot of posts here and around, I'm trying things, including the CUDA drivers, but without any success. Can you give a piece of advice, what could I also try to get the GeForce GT650M working..?

Thanks a lot

Hi,

I have the same problem, but i cant solve it with your suggested Boot-Options.

I have also a UX51VZ but it's the A version, with 1080p and some smal differences.

thx for help,

Rene

Thx for reply!

I've tried it with -v -x nv_disable=1 dart=0

and the other ones in this thread, nothing seems to work.

And the other options doesnt seem to help me.

You did not read the guide very carefully...

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

System: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Hi

i've updated my signature.

And i've tried GraphicsEnabler=Yes and i only get a Nvidia error instantly
