The problem is VIA isn't supported unlike ALC Codec and will require a Linux Dump and a patched AppleHDA or Injector kext. Personally not worth it with VIA Audio.

From your motherboard manual:

Possible solution: Disable VIA audio and replace AppleHDA.kext - then choose a method for Nvidia HDMI audio, there are several here and elsewhere on the internet. USB audio might be the way to go as others have suggested.

One way is to pretend it doesn't exist, then the problem goes away.
