iMac Pro X299 - Live the Future now with macOS 10.14 Mojave [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

1) Latest release causes more problems, the above does not resolve the problem
2) If I understood well, I tried to reduce the resolution to 3200x1333 instead of 3840x1600 but the problem remains
3) Our systems differ only in the CPU, I am using all your aml from GitHub, except the Thunderbolt I use just one for the Titan (EFI Folder included in the previous msg)

In my case, Whatevergreen does not cause any additional problems, implements the correct number of GPU ports and resolves display wake after display sleep

You should not reduce the display resolution but change display frequency

Using Whatevergreen 1.2.2 removes the additional issues but not the original one , what do you mean by "implements the correct number of GPU ports" ? Using the other HDMI port don't wake after sleep

I tried 3840x1600 with 60,30 Hz with the same problem

Reading the forum i found that many people have the problem of sleep due to "AC WI-FI 802.11 ABWB + Bluetooth 4.0 PCI-Express (PCI-E) BCM94360CD Combo PCIe Adapter" but i did not understand how can i solve it using an ssdt, could you help me? is installed in slot 5

Thanks a lot

I don’t think that you have any issue with BT/WIFI. Everything necessary was already said from my side. Most of the things are also explained in my guide. Please try to get your problems sorted.

Good luck, man!

Finally got my WS X299 Sage/10G board and Gigabyte Titan ridge card to try out and got 10g and usb c/display port hot plug working :)

It was a bit of a pain since onboard Ethernet is required to get iMessage/Apple watch hand off/etc working but it seems like everything is good so far *crosses fingers*

Honestly, I now leave CPU Core Voltage simply on "Auto", "enable" CPU SVID Support and introduce AVX and AVX-512 offsets of "2" and "3", respectively.

Else with ASUS Multicore Enhancement on "Auto" and CPU Core Ratio on "SyncAllCores" my i9-7980XE works flawless @4.7GHz.

However, please keep mind and don't forget about my extended and sophisticated custom water blocking, which is absolutely mandatory for such BIOS configuration!

BIOS settings are the same for macOS and Windows, as required, common and recommended for dual boot systems.

Cheers,

KGP

Actually, there is something strange..

Here the settings for 4.5 GHz all core.

- Windows: vcore offset, -0,100 Volt (vcore 1,140 Volt). Boot and stable, low idle frequency and voltage.
- MacOS: same settings above, no boot (blank screen just after the verbose output).

- Windows: vcore manual, 1,140 volt (vcore 1,140 Volt). Boot and stable, low idle frequency but fixed voltage.
- macOS: same settings above, Boot and stable. Hwmonitor reports 1,000 volt to cpu, which is unreliable.

I'll try to verify this thing further...

BTW, below the performance @ 4,5 Ghz all core.

Best regards.

P.s.: for the cooling, I've a custom EKWB loop with a 360 radiator only for the CPU. The CPU is not delidded (for now...).

First of all thanks a lot for the Guide, it's perfect!

But I have a few minor issues, which is driving me crazy (my monitor is LG 38WK95C and Vega with last bios):
1) HDMI: when the display goes into stand-by, to be able to reactivate, from the black screen, i have to choose HDMI2 and then return to HDM1 (HDMI Compatibility mode is grey in the monitor settings)
2) DP: using the DisplayPort of the GC-Titan Ridge, the BIOS works, the Clover and the verbose Mac boot works, but black screen at login (DisplayPort 1.2 enabled in the monitor settings)
3) Sleep: if i try to send the computer to sleep, it goes off and a second later it turns on again

Thanks for your time
MM

I'm not on Mojave yet, waiting for 10.14.1 to start testing, but your Vega should work with that monitor without an issue.

Also is there a reason why you're using the DP on Titan-Ridge? Use DisplayPort on your Vega. Your monitor is 3840x1600 just like mine and @kgp's and you don't even need DP 1.4 on these monitors since they are not true 4k anyway.

I'm running the 75Hz version of this monitor (two of them) @ 75Hz without any issues. DisplayPort only on both.
