I followed the instructions from Dortania and installed everything, except the HP HD Camera. The internal USB port for the camera is successfully mapped and visible in Hackintool. Despite trying different USB mapping methods, including USBMap and USBToolBox, the camera still isn't working and I can't see anything in either webtest or Facetime. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

when you have done your usb port correctly, you have to disable:
XhciPortLimit in your config.plist

XhciPortLimit is set to false. Didn't help.

However, I think I know what the problem is. This laptop has IR Camera on the same port with HD Camera.

Screenshots from IORegistryExplorer depicts it.

On my another HP laptop (same model, just one generation older: HP Probook 450 G6) HD camera is alone on the port. And it works. So, the problem is not USB Mapping.

The question is: how can I remove or disable IR Camera connected on the same internal USB port with HD Web Camera? I think that that would solve the problem. Any suggestion?

Any idea?

Hi there.

As they are both attached to HS02 as a composite device, then I'm not aware of a specific SSDT or kext to disable the IR device. However you *could* write one, in theory.

Otherwise check the BIOS to see if there is an option to disable it there.

:)

There is no possibility to disable IR in bios. Unfortunately I have no idea how to write such an extension. I hoped that there were skillful guys around….
