Hey all! Long time lurker for obvious reasons (ex Apple employee).

After 5 years with Apple I have moved on to bigger and better things (I know, those exist?) haha. I have built a few hacks thanks to this site, but am now jumping into Haswell territory. I have a 2008 Mac Pro 8 core, so osx right away isn't super important.

I Chose a hackintosh this time around because the new Mac Pro will not have PCIE (without external add ons), and I run a digital media company and use pcie for my audio interface (Motu 2408 MKIII x2), a pcie SSD, and a big graphics card (Apple ATI 5870). Needless to say, I need my PCIE.

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself. I'll be around a lot more now.

Haha! I guess you're right. I just installed a Gtx 680 FTW in my little bros computer and had to cut some metal to get it to fit! Graphics cards have come a long way

Just an update, I got a great deal on an MSI GTX 680, so bye bye 5870. My tower is a beast. Now I just need to get osx going.
