HELP! No HDMI audio on 560 ti in 10.8

I was hoping to get some help/advice. I've been trying to get my HDMI Audio working on my GTX 560 Ti with no such luck.

Setup:

OS: Mountain Lion 10.8.4
CPU: i5 3570K
MB: GA-B75M-D3H
Graphics: Gigabyte GTX560 Ti
Onboard Graphics: Disabled

The process I followed:

1. Download:
- Multibeast 5.4.3
- MaciASL
- HexFiend
- IORegistryExplorer
- https://github.com/toleda/audio_hdmi_hd4000/archive/master.zip

2. Install Multibeast with:
- UserDSDT or DSDT-Free Installation
- Drivers -> Network -> Realtek - AppleRTL…

3. Reboot System

4. Export using IOReg

5. Open MaciASL.
6. File -> New from ACPI -> DSDT
7. Change definition block to read "./dsdt.aml" instead of "iA……..aml"
8. Patch -> Open -> ib1-ami_efi_clean_compile_v1.1.txt -> Apply
9. Patch -> Open -> ib2-hdmi_audi_ami_efi_hd4000-1.txt -> Apply
10. File -> SaveAs -> File Format: Dissasembled ASL File -> ~/Desktop/dsdt.dsl
11. File -> SaveAs -> File Format: ACPI Machine Language -> ~/Desktop/dsdt.aml

13. Run Multibeast with same as per before plus Realtek with DST

14. Edit AppleHDAController using HexFiend:
find: de 10 ea 0b
replace: de 10 0c 0e (2x)

15. Reboot System

16. Export IOReg

At this point there is no HDMI Audio. The funny thing is that I remember getting HDMI audio working with an earlier version of Multibeast a little over a year ago. I've been running Linux/Windows and decided to do a OSX build again. I noticed that there's a new method using SSDT.aml file over on another thread but it states that GTX 560 Tis aren't supported.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Daniel

Looks correct. The AppleHDAController edit is not installed. How did you install the edited AppleHDDA.kext?

Very incorrectly.

Just did it properly with KextUtility. Now working, thanks. Sorry for wasting your time. Great work with these patches by the way.

I was just about to say, it seems to read fine apart from I used kextbeast to install and it works fine.

Keep a copy of that patched AppleHDA.kext somewhere safe ie an external memory drive or something, as when I do a OSX update I always seem to have to re-install it using kextbeast to get audio again. So don't lose that patched file.

anyway, happy it's working for you.
