Hey guys!

I tried installing Mavericks on my rig, but I got stuck. When I try to install, the installer says that Mavericks can't be installed on my partition because it's not GUID.
It's weird because I had Mountain Lion installed on it. It's ok, right? I can just re-partiton my hard drive as GUID, but the problem is I have two other partitions on that drive.
I have my Windows 7 in one and 300gb of picture, movies and other crap in another. Is it possible to convert to GUID without losing all this data?

Thanks a bunch!

Hey bro, how's it going?

"Is it possible to convert to GUID without losing all this data?"

That I'm not sure about, hopefully another user can chime in on this question; what I do know is, you can still keep your current partitions, you just need to use the Mavericks MBR patch. What it does, is it forces the Mavericks installer to skip the GUID check and allow an installation using MBR.

Instructions are included in the link.

I hope this helps, good luck!

Thanks for replying that fast.

I will try this method, but now the problem is I erased my Mountain Lion (I'm a dumbass, I know).
Luckily, I still have ML on a disk.

Will keep you updated if I manage to do anything.

Thanks again.
