Hello, just installed mac os 10.13.3, everything works perfect expect usb wifi adapters, I have two adapters and both didn't work, one is TL-WN725N, and second is Sunstri (china's noname as i understand, RTL8811AU chipset), i've installed drivers for each separately, both are not working, also in windows 10, they also didn't work, mac os keeps trying to connect, but she can't, i see the list of networks, but not connecting, in windows 10 i see the "Can't connect to this netowrk" message after choosing my wifi from list. I know Im writing to macOS thread, but after a week I still can't find any questions about this. Help me please...

I also use the TL-WN725N - it works great on Win10 and MacOS 10.13.3 using the latest drivers from tp-link https://www.tp-link.com/fr/download/TL-WN725N.html#Driver

Did you try your dongle with another network ? It can be a network-related issue. The TL-WN725N can't handle 5ghz networks

hello raga I would also try to use mac os on this laptop, but first I wanted to take this to be able to run the wifi and bluethooth without usb modules.

Hi @fladnaG86, you can get internal WiFi working with these parts if you follow my guide. You need some antenna extension cables also. Check my guide for the details. Bluetooth does not work because this requires a USB interface, which is not available on m.2 M key slot. If you look back through this discussion you will find my guide.

Let me help you, here is the link:

Hello,

It 's just news about the compatibility between some BT and Wifi dongle and Xiaomi mi notebook pro hackintosh (High sierra).

I buy and test one BT dongle. It works fine: GMYLE Nano USB Broadcom BCM 20702 Classe 2 Bluetooth V4.0
For your information, I also test apple mouse on it without having some problem: it's OK
No needs to add specific driver

I looking for a Wifi AC dongle with USB 3.0. I buy SEEKNET WIFI 802.11ac AC1300 (5GHz/867Mbps+ 2.4Ghz/400Mbps) dongle
It 's a cheap dongle. When I want to drop the dongle, black case opens and you can see electronic part. It's not working even if you install specific driver.
It's not working.

I already had a old Netgear N300 usb 2.0 dongle, not a nano dongle. It works well and you don't need to add specific dongle.

I would want to buy a mixed usb3.0 dongle with Wifi and BT but I didn't find it (similar as wifi and BT internal mixed card)...

hello raga I have another question to ask you, you bios version used on your xiaomi notebook in order to make macOS work well. I keep the 400 I should update to 500 or 600 I know that I would lose the CPU undervolt. Can not I stay with this version of bios the 400? could someone modify the dsdt with this bios? And lastly I have to install mac os 10.13.3 and not the last version seems to me 10.13.4

Hi @fladnaG86, I am not saying that you must use that version of BIOS. I am just saying that I have only tested the solution with BIOS version 0502. Because I haven't tested other versions I can't guarantee they will work. Most likely your BIOS version will work, but I can't give you a guarantee. Also for macOS I have only tested 10.13.3. I haven't updated to 10.13.4 yet. I don't see any reason why it won't work. Probably will work fine, but I can't guarantee.

Alright I'm down to the final two problems before this thing is ready for a daily-driver test:

Trackpad
  • I have to boot up, then put the computer to sleep for 30 seconds before it starts working
  • Scrolling is stupid- I put down two fingers then have to slide up or down to scroll but I just hold it for continuous scroll. I would much prefer to have it work more like an actual macbook where there's momentum. Is there any fix for this?
  • I have to disable, then enable tap to click for right click to not require a press or double-tap-then-hold to work.
  • related to the tap to click: if I don't do this, sometimes pressing to right click will rapid-fire left and right click constantly

Bluetooth
  • I only have an Asus BT200 and BT400 dongle-- but my googling shows it should work out of the box with macOS alright. Some people required editing the kext but when I looked, mine had the appropriate hardware IDs setup already. Does anyone know how to get either dongle working?

Did you try the VoodooI2C fork from @tctien342 ?
https://github.com/tctien342/VoodooI2C/releases

Recommended installation is to replace VoodooI2C.kext and VoodooI2CHID.kext by the theses new ones, inside the clover partition. Some people have issues when installing inside /S/L/E or /L/E.

By the way, you can use even more dirty hack to make dualboot setup. I created ubuntu folder, put clover efi file here and named it GRUBX64.efi, which is perfect as I don't need to rename boot file each time.

I'm using those kexts and it performed no different. I also ensured clover is set to detect for injection so it uses S/L/E L/E first, and added them to the clover kext folder as well to make sure it was setup in case I need to recovery boot.
