[Guide] Install Catalina on the Dell Optiplex 7010 and 9010 Desktop PC

FROM MY CATALINA - INTEL HD GRAPHICS, 2500
Yes, but 3MB of Vram isn't enough for even most basic tasks. See if you can play a YouTube video smoothly.

Try this short term experiment. In Clover do a temporary system def. change to iMac 13,2 and see if the images show up. It's probably because no 6,1 or 6,2 Mac mini ever had a dedicated Nvidia graphics card. So the iMac sysdef may make it possible. I would still stay with 6,2 anyway even if the change to 13,2 helps. The Mac mini system def helps USB ports work in ways that 13,2 doesn't. If it doesn't work, chalk it up to running macOS on hardware it was never intended for.

You can also start a support thread in Graphics to see if anyone there has ideas on a solution.

I figured out what the problems was, I tried what you had told me to do, that did not work. It was HIDPI Code that I was running that did get messed up in one of the updates. Once I used the HIDPI Code: "
bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/xzhih/one-key-hidpi/master/hidpi.sh)"
and disabled it on all 4 monitors I was able to get my display pane back.

Since then, I have "updated" to a Optiplex 9020 - i7 -4790, and am using a nvidia NVS 510. I will post my question over on that forum. Thank you again for all your help and expertise with trying to troubleshoot that problem.

I haven't installed Windows & macOS on a partitioned drive before so I can't confirm it works. But I have read posts where people have had success.

I don't know, read the guide or search for windows/Mac same drive.
I have had mixed outcomes with multibooting from same drive, I have had issues mainly with Boot paths vanishing, and having to use USB in order to boot instead, so my work around is to install Windows to second hdd, then use it in an external enclosure from Clover if needed.

Yeah it just sounds like a headache to me too!. Good idea using the external drive for Windows when you need it.

Can I ask you a question. My computer Dell 9010USFF i5-3475s booted into Clover EFI very slowly. I'am using SSD. Thank you.

Hi there.

First step, check your config.plist and make sure you have "Debug" set to <false/> :

If you are using Clover Configurator make sure the box is not ticked

Hi, thanks very much for the guide. Just completed an install on my USFF 7010 with the 3770s and all seems well. Is it still recommended to generate custom SSDT with this guide? I've done it with your previous guides on a couple builds, but I wonder if the 3770s is covered by your 3770 ssdt.aml file?

I checked p states, this seems like it's working fine I think:

i7-3770S =/= i7-3770
no such thing that 3770S is covered by 3770 ssdt.aml
