Hey.

I own an HP Pavilion dv6 6165tx, and the closest 'guide' I found to my own laptop was yours.

Although I know this thread is in Mountain Lion, could you please help me/point me in the right direction about installing Mavericks on 6165tx?

What steps/files would differ from this guide, for OS X 10.9.3 and HP Pavilion dv6-6165tx?

The process for ML and Mavericks are usually very similar if not exactly the same.

Hey My laptop is same as your laptop(HP pavilion dv6 6164tx), i sucessfully installed OS X snow leopard. the main problem is Graphics does not work. please help me how to enable the Graphics?. I am new for hackintosh i don't know about DSDT, what is DSDT how to patch DSDT?

System: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.
