Thanks I did that, it works. It's quite easy to make the installer fortunately. I had vm swap memory something error, however it let me proceed the installation and so far there isn't any issue.

Hey, previously I had voodoohda but twice my laptop restart after sleep wake problem (caused by "com.apple.iokit.ioaudiofamily" which I think that has to do with voodoohda, but just now I figured it out, using applealc + inject-id 23 (it's relatively new)
http://github.com/acidanthera/AppleALC
from there get the newest release and put the kext inside L/E and then not to forget using clover / plist editor change the inject-id to 23. I will let you know if kernel panic still persist

Using voodoo is pretty straightforward, just install applehdadisabler and voodoohda kexts to L/E, if that doesn't work either, try this after patching voodoohda,
1. Make USB Ubuntu installer
2. Do a live USB (boot to ubuntu without installing it) by manually selecting from F8 option, not from clover boot loader
3. Check sound if it does indeed work on your live ubuntu by clicking the sound scroll (I think) or easier try to play mp3 maybe
4. Restart and hopefully the sound works
I have tried the latest appleALC.kext+lilu.kext with inject-id 23 via PciRoot and still can get audio back. Do you still have CodecCommander.kext installed in L/E? Would you mind to show your latest config.plist please?

One more thing I've noticed is that when I switch to Windows from MacOS I loose windows audio and need to reset audio controller in bios. Will CodecCommander.kext will fix that issue?

Here you are my friend! My laptop model is touchscreen UHD 4K. If you have same version it might work. Good luck!
Thanks or the Clover folder! My XPS is the FHD model Non-touchscreen and I can boot to the installer with your config.plist, before that I was stuck with the guide, but, during the install it crashes at the end, I will retry changing things into the config.plist tomorrow, if someone with the FHD model could share a clover folder it's welcome :D

Take a pix of crash and post it here so we may figure it out what is wrong.

Okay, it's not a crash, now the system installs correctly with the holypaulie's clover folder, but Clover doesn't recognise the APFS partition for boot from the SSD, I'm gonna try with other configurations... With the avatecer's clover folder I can't boot.
Thank you both for your folders!

are you trying to install mojave? did you get into clover bootloader? Could you tell me exactly what do you mean by can't boot?

I have a problem with apfsdriverloader / apfs (actually we, holypaulie and i), we have to use crazybird's patch to skip apfs conversion only if you want to install mojave.

But nice to know you your installation went correctly with holypaulie's

Yes, I'm trying to install Mojave, I have the exact same problem, when I add de apfs.efi to the clover it doesn't boot (after all the installation process), I will try with that patch to avoid use APFS.
Thank you.

if you have no way idea to start using that firmware patch, go to insanely's forum an look for "Mojave MBR HFS Firmware Check Patch" and i quoted someone from ******
Nice. I just tried MBR-EasyInstallerMaker. That was straight forward. Drag the Mojave installer.app into the window then the GUID HFS+ USB volume and wait a bit.

I selected the USB installer it made from the Clover menu (booted from a Clover EFI on another drive). Mojave took a little over 12 minutes to install with NO APFS!!
then you have the no apfs conversion installer

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
I finally booted the last Mojave build on my XPS (9343 FHD i5-5200U model) Now I have got the same issue as both of you, sound doesn't work. I repeat, thank you for everything!
