You misunderstood. The bluetooth controller itself is connected via USB.

Q 2. Am I correct that you don't advise removing 15 port limit for long term use, is that still the advice? Reason I ask is I've had to use the internal header that my card reader was on for the Bluetooth card. I will need 17 ports if I'm going to reconnect it unless I sacrifice something else.

IMO, best to stay within the 15-port limit.

OK, sacrificed 2 USB ports, can live without.

Would you have a look at attached screen shot? Speed "up to 12 MB/sec" Is that OK? Seems low.

  1. WiFi working fine on some networks, like my home network, but in other locations I get a "connection timed out" response. This is many other networks I have tried in many different places. It's definitely the WiFi card and not the network.

I can't get 5GHz and Bluetooth to work on my ASUS Z97-Pro (802.11ac) motherboard. 2.4GHz WiFi works.

I have Clover and OS X 10.11.3 and am trying the Kext/binary patch installation method.


When I run wireless_bcm94352-110-v4.0.command and select 2 (Handoff/BCM94352/US-FCC), I get this output:

Exactly same problem for me report before... i think the solution for you is the same for me...
I've managed to make the card work in 5ghz and the also for the bluetooth (Follow the full guide in the 1 post) but the card didn't reach the full speed of 1300mbps and the most weird things is that my iCloud is not working correctly... (I have to fix iMessage) but the handoff is working! oh well i see the icon of the app opened in my phone for example but when i click it nothing will happen...
