How is it connected? HDMI 2.0 isn't supported by macOS, it might work with some additional hacks, but using DP is usually the better option.

I am using an HDMI 2 port on my GPU. my TV doesn't have any DP or DVI ports.

I have applied the Mac Pixel Clock patch as well as the Nvidia patch made from the same guy. both didn't work.

I might have to get a DP to HDMI or wait for another Nvidia patch for updated drivers?

I have that adapter and I can confirm it works. But Sierra boots to blank screen with it. I have to unplug and re-plug it to make it work.
I just placed an order for 1 day shipping. Do you know how scaling works with 10.12.4? I have a 50" 4K and 4k looks too small without scaling

scaling works. Select 1920x1080 under scaling. But for me the problem is Sierra booting to no display.

so I have the DP 1.4 to HDMI installed now. Works great! although seems like I have to setup a 1440p resolution rather than native 4K with scaling. ---- I'm dumb. it is scaled to 1440p from 4k.. lmao....

I think I had the same issue as you. I had no display until I unplugged it and plugged it back in. I think it might have managed to fix it self though.

I'm interested in this, is there any possible hack to make HDMI 2.0 working? Is that hack any closer by the release of the new nvidia drivers?

I'm having similar issues, most of the time my rig boots properly, but sometimes (always after wake) I have blank screen on my TV. If I use two monitors, I always have blank screen in TV after booting (proper signal in the other monitor).

It's really weird and annoying, usual suspects are Samsung TV + Club3d adapter, either as separate entities, or as combo..

Any clues to investigate? That combo (4k TV + Club3d adpater) is very uncommon, so troubleshooting here is a lonely task xD

I don't want to hijack threads, so if it's better to open a new one, I'll make it so...

PS: As workaround, I'm using Sapphire 7870 card connected to TV + Club3d adapter, and nvidia 1080 only in windows for gaming, and things are working...But I'm using spare PCIEx16 slot only for this, and I have another plans to that (hello NMVe).

Hi, i have a GTX 1060 with 3x DP and 1xHDMI 2.0. I use my Samsung 4k 60hz tv as an monitor with hdmi 2.0 cable. works great with windows 10. but in Sierra it is not working. so I ordered a dp1.2 to cdmi 2.0 adapter. this adapter works great with 4k@60hz under win10 but when I boot into Sierra, there is exactly the same as with HDMI 2.0 ... every resolution greater than 1080p I can only choose 30hz . is there any software problem ?

I installed the brand new Sierra yesterday and the newest Nvidia driver.

I hope anybody can help me. Sorry for my bad English. I am from Germany.

PS: I saw under Win10 that the OS says I use HDMI (but I really use DP with the adapter) and under Sierra it says I am using DVI or HDMI (but I am using DP with the adapter). So is the adapter the wrong one?

Best regards
