Gigabyte B550 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + AMD Ryzen 7 3700X + AMD RX 5600 XT

0x1002 is the Vendor ID for AMD.
0x7310 through 0x7360 are the currently supported Radeon 5000 series Device IDs.

As we can see, 0x73BF is not present under IOPCIMatch, hence it will be an unknown device until Apple releases an updated driver. We could try to fake the ID to one of those shown below, but no guarantees it will work.
Dortania posted a couple of days ago that Big Sur 11.1 beta has the Navi 20 PCI IDs. See: https://dortania.github.io/hackintosh/updates/2020/11/17/navi20.html

Thats a DEV release... so we cannot talk about it:)

11.1 is public beta now. I have it on my ASRock X570 Taichi. Let me see if I can find those magical new Device IDs because the list includes your specific card: 0x73BF.

Update:
Yes indeed those IDs are present in AMDRadeonX6000Framebuffer.kext.

No update since my last post in which the retailer states that the next status update will come in early December.

This is good news. I had a feeling the beta 11.1 had big Navi support, given the timing of its release coinciding with the big Navi launch. Good to know apple hasn’t abandoned AMD. I wonder if this means a future Mac is coming with big Navi inside?

Now we just have to wait for supply to catch up with demand... good luck brothers.

I am seriously torn. Watching all the rave reviews on YouTube about entry-level M1 Macs shaming even the 28-Core 2019 Mac Pro at $28,000 has made me pause and reevaluate everything...
  • Within 12-18 months we should see new iMacs, possibly a more compact Mac Pro, a redesigned 14" MacBook Pro, etc.
  • A new compact Mac Pro running Apple Silicon would win me over in a heartbeat if the price is reasonable.
    • It must not begin at $6000 -- that would be an immediate deal breaker.
    • If it's in the $2000 to $3000 range, then why would I spend any more dollars on x86 CPUs, third-party GPUs, and motherboards?
  • I have a pre-order for the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, which costs $550.
  • I was going to pre-order the AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT for another $650.
  • That alone is a combined expense of $1200.
If a compact Mac Pro next year costs between $2000 and $3000 and outclasses everything in sight, then it's an automatic "Shut Up and Take My Money" proposition! :)

Hence, I'm seriously torn.

Should I spend that kind of money now or wait to see what 2021 brings?

This is Apple we're talking about right ? There's no way they'll lower their prices like this. They only dropped the Mac mini by $100 because the M1 chip costs so much less than the Intel equivalent. Their cost to build one is probably at least $200 less. They reused the old AL chassis so there was no R&D cost there. It's going to take a lot of work, time and money to make a smaller MP version with Apple Silicon.

They even kept the base ram at 8GB and charge you $200 to add an extra 8 so as I see it, they really raised the base price by $100 up to $899. Ram prices have come way down recently. They can buy it much cheaper than we can too.

Apple might keep the full size Mac Pro while introducing a more compact version. Numerous times we have seen Apple do the unexpected, releasing "mini" versions of iPads and iPhones, and fitting products into all sorts of price points.

I hope you're right on this but I'll only believe it when I see it. A 50% or more price reduction on a Pro machine from Apple is a long shot. They do love those high profit margins that they can get their customers to buy in on.
