Gigabyte B550 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + AMD Ryzen 7 3700X + AMD RX 5600 XT

Congrats, does it work with Big Sur??
@CaseySJ tested Catalina and Big Sur on my z390, drivers not loading... Whatevergreen needs updating.
But of course it works with Win10.

You can remove WEG, we had to do that for the 5700xt when it came out, it works without using pikera. Lilu needs another kext like ALC.kext or WEG etc. so make sure you have one of those. Disable IGPU in bios.

What is the device ID?

IOReg and a hackintool screenshot of the pcie tables.

I wish i could get to the desktop to run those tools...
It just hangs half way during boot... just stuck... ill try to get a screenshot of the hang...

It won’t work.

I looked at the NAVI drivers in Big Sur and sure enough none of the 6000-series device IDs are present. We could use FakePCIID temporarily to assign an RX 5000-series ID, but that may not take advantage of the true capability of the card.

In Windows we can use HWINFO to determine the Device ID. It should be something like 0x7xxx or 0x8xxx

@xtreem.p

Look, they made this just for you. You're the only person on the planet outside of YouTube that has both Ryzen 5000 and Radeon 6000. :)

0x1002 is the Vendor ID for AMD.
0x7310 through 0x7360 are the currently supported Radeon 5000 series Device IDs.

As we can see, 0x73BF is not present under IOPCIMatch, hence it will be an unknown device until Apple releases an updated driver. We could try to fake the ID to one of those shown below, but no guarantees it will work.

XML:
            <key>IOPCIMatch</key>
            <string>0x73101002 0x73121002 0x73181002 0x73191002 0x731A1002 0x731B1002 0x731F1002 0x73401002 0x73411002 0x73431002 0x73471002 0x734F1002 0x73601002</string>
