Okay, you are right! ;):D I read somewhere that GE=No disables 3D more or less, most games won't work, etc. Perhaps this information was wrong.

Anyway, I will use the HD4000, until Ifind a better card. Perhaps the GTX680 will do it: http://www.evga.com/articles/00730/ But I don't want to spend round about 600€ for that! ;) My girlfriend would probably kill me... ;):D:p

But back to the topic, my girlfriend will come home late tonight, so I have some time to work through your guide and enable power-management and speedstepping, etc.. ;)

I'm not a gamer nor a 3D user, so I can't tell for sure, but as far as I know GE=No simply doesn't allow bootloader to use its settings. That's all, but, like I just said, I'm not positive about that. And GTX 680 should be a really good card indeed!

Thanks for the guide
Giacomoleopardo! What I will try to build too.

Thaks for your guide!!!

Now I'm working on another build with a motherboard GA-Z77-DS3H and i7 3770 processor. I do not need a dedicated graphics card, HD4000 is right for me. The system is running 10.8.4 with MultiBeast minimum options (audio, network and USB 3.0 kexts and DSDT free).

I would like to adjust the system with a DSDT and CPU and GPU Power Management. I followed the steps in your guide but with moderate success (usb working intermittently, Office crashes in fullscreen , ...)

Can you help me?
I have doubts to repos that I have to add to MaciASL.
Is it enough to add the repositories:
Gigabyte PJALM ---> http://pjalm.info/repos/gigabyte
PJALM graphics ---> http://pjalm.info/repos/graphics ?

Do I have to add also the repository Toleda: https://github.com/toleda/audio_hdmi_uefi ?

I would like to have working HDMI and DVI.

Thank you

Here you are. Sorry for my English (I'm Spanish)

Thanks!!!

Thanks!!!
Try this one:
  • open terminal and type defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE && killall Finder then press Enter key to show hidden files
  • delete from /usr/local/bin/ the file named xhcdump
  • delete from /System/Library/Extensions the kext GenericUSBXHCI.kext you don't need it, Intel controller for usb3 does work with patched dsdt
  • download and unzip the dsdt attached
  • replace dsdt.aml in /Extra
  • repair permission with Disk Utility
  • rebuild cache with Kext Wizard
  • open terminal and type defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE && killall Finder then press Enter key to hide hidden files
  • reboot
HDMI (audio and video), DVI and usb 3.0 should work properly.
Please post results.
PS: your english seems to be fine to me: I'm Italian :lol:

Long life to translate.google.xx

Hello giacomoleopardo!!!!!!

I followed your instructions and usb 3.0 work correctly. It also solved the problem of malfunctioning Office 2011, but the HDMI audio not working. Finally I saw I had installed HDAEnabler1.kext (non-Multibeast DSDT) in / Extra. I removed it, I repaired permissions and cache and ... voilà, HDMI audio working perfectly.

Thanks you very, very... much for your help.

One more question, duplicate screen not work for me. Is it a hackintosh general trouble or is it mine only?

Regards from BCN,

Ahram
