My graphics driver seems to be working ok, although it's not perfect. I had f5 & f6 brightness control, but it broke at some point and now I'm using Brightness slider instead.

You'll need to build a new SMBIOS since I redacted my own.

I built mine following the instructions from this thread. It works even though it's for anothe model. You might want to take a look at it.

you shouldn't need all those files in acpi/patched folder, that is wrong

also wrong to share DSDT.aml in different laptops, should extract and patch your own DSDT from your own laptop

Thanks for the tip, I remember reading that while I was working on this build. I removed them at some point during all the installs, trials & reinstalls but I ended up leaving them because they're on the guide and I kind of forgot after that. I'll be removing them for good now.

Regarding the DSDT sharing, yes, that's why I pointed out the guide that I followed. But as a total newb in the patching department (this is the first time I had to patch a DSDT), I did find it useful sometimes to compare pieces of code from different DSDTs.
