Have a read of my thread and the solutions to the problems I had, it might help you out. I think the flickering you are experiencing is because the HD4000 does not have acceleration enabled.

Following the steps in this thread worked all the way until I added

<key>device-properties</key>

to the org.chameleon.Boot.plist file. Then I rebooted and now it freezes on the white apple loading screen.

I fixed the restart on shutdown issues by disabling the wake for LAN option in bios.

Well, I said I'd grab the exact multipliers on the MacBook 8,1 SMBios; 16-23-27-39 (set max turbo multipliers at 39 for the time being).

The bottom port is an Atheros chip.
I've had better luck with the Atheros than the Intel on the Z77X-UD5H. That's a bummer for me - I had my heart set on using the Intel but it's too flakey in ML.

Good catch on the Atheros. I tried loading that in MB and the adapter doesn't work. Intel is fine, though, so that is all I really care about for now.

I tried the MSRDumper and got the "usual" for 3,1: 16 17 18 19 20 and 42 (current setting.) I thought PStates are primarily for reduced power consumption when not under full load. As long as speedstepping appears to be working, is there an advantage in going for more?

Bummer, that didn't work for me. I guess I'll have to reinstall...again. :c

only problem seems to be when selecting sleep, it wakes up right away, and then I have to select sleep agian, and then it works.

I had the same problem. Disable both Marvel SATA Controller in BIOS if you don't need them and the problem is gone. ;)
Although I had not installed the drivers for 3rd party SATA the problem was present.

What other settings you have in BIOS. I have done that and still it is auto wakeing from sleep.

Try removing nullpowermanagement.kext. worked for me and I got a nice score improvement in geekbench

Yes, that's what they're for. I just like to have a more evenly distributed spread.

However, I just discovered a problem with running the MacBook Pro SMBios on this machine. I have been chasing down a problem that reared it's ugly head on my machine recently.
YouTube would show as garbled green tiling mess, console was spammed with OpenGL errors and the computer would lock up quickly.

I always test YouTube... Except when I don't ;)

Turns out replacing the SMBios with the tried and true MacPro 3,1 fixed the problem.

Oh well. I guess I'll have to find another way to get the spread I want. Until then, I'm just going to be happy with the massive jump from 2.0 to 3.9/4.3.

Hey everyone,

I have tried installing Mountain Lion today on my System:

GA-Z77X-UD5H
i5 3570K
16 GB 1600Mhz
Geforce 460 GTX OC 1GB (Gigabyte)

After having major issues with getting Lion to run I didn´t try too much but I got it booting by hooking up my Monitor to the Onboard DVI and removing the card. Install worked and it booted yet I must have chosen the wrong multibeast settings because I kept getting kernel panics (-x safe mode worked). I started looking around and read that my card is not supported but then again others are claiming that it should work oob...

What would I need to check in Multibeast and will my card even work with Mountain Lion? I wouldn´t want to upgrade yet as I am waiting for the 660 GTX to hit the market (whenever that will be).

I chose the following:

user DSDT (without having a DSDT on desktop)
NON DSDT - audio 898
Atheros/Intel Networking
TRIM support
NVIDIA 10.7.2 Support

The whole time I had the 460 installed (booted with -x), I notice that the screen resolution was horrible and it could not detect my Cinema Display(showed funny letters and numbers instead of display name). Funny though that in the same about screen it did detect the 460 correctly o_O
