Hello readers,

Today i have started my first build with the GA-Z77X-uD5H with a intel i7 3770K. Ive installed every thing up to Multibeast correctly and that is where i am now stuck. I dont have a user DSDT and by reading some threads it appears i don't need one but all help guides i've read give instruction on the basis that the DSDT does some areas for the hackintosh for you. I ask your help on which of these options i should be selecting on the premiss i have no UserDSDT.

Thanks

Hi,

You have to Select UserDSDT Install with no dsdt.aml file what so ever. Repair permissions is ok.

For Audio you have to have this selected:
Realtek ALC8XX > Unified Device Injector > ALCbxxHDA
Realtek ALC8XX > AppleHDA Rollback
Realtek ALC8XX > Non-DSDT HDAEnabler > ALC898

Nothing on disk

Nothing on Miscellaneous

Bootloaders selected.

I am also checking Customizations > 64bit GraphicsEnabler=No

After reboot, if everything works ok and you are able to boot into OS X, search and use Chameleon Wizard and do some tweaks as seen in the attached thumb.

In case you are using HD4000, you need to install latest chimera (.11 I think) and use GraphicsEnabler=Yes (or thick the GraphicsEnabler in CH Wizard. If still have problems, you can use this device properties:
Code:
8800000001000000010000007c0000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff0400100000006d006f00640065006c0000001a000000496e74656c20484420477261706869637320343030302c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000005006201

Let me know how it goes.

LE: If you find yourself without Ethernet after all the above, run Multibeast again and select Intel Ethernet. This will fix it.

I have been running:

System Utilities->Repair Permissions

Drivers & Bootloaders->Kexts & Enablers->Audio->Realtek ALC8xx->Non-DSDT HDAEnabler->ALC898
Drivers & Bootloaders->Kexts & Enablers->Audio->Realtek ALC8xx->Patched AppleHDA->ALC898

Drivers & Bootloaders->Kexts & Enablers->Network->maolj's AtherosL1cEthernet (for bottom ethernet port, noticed issues with Intel after sleep)

Customization->Boot Options->64-bit Apple Boot Screen or 64-bit GraphicsEnabler=No (I run '64-bit GE=No' with nVidia 600-series GPU)

Customization->System Definitions->Mac Pro 3,1, MacBook Pro 8,1 or iMac 12,2 (I run MacBook Pro 8,1 at the moment to get different P States)

Customization->Themes->tonymacx86 Remixed

After installing these options I run the Chimera 1.11.0 installer.

After the Chimera installer I navigate to /Extra and open the org.chameleon.Boot.plist.
I add these lines to the list:

<key>Theme</key>
<string>default</string>
<key>Timeout</key>
<string>1</string>
<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1920x1080x32</string>

The 'Graphics Mode' string should be tailored to the resolution of your boot monitor. As you can see mine is 1920x1080 with 32 bit color.

I am trying both setups, (laddu's suggestions then aries4life's). The hard drive starts to boot, but it freezes at the mac loading screen.

Please be more specific. What do you see? Can you boot with -v and check where it goes wrong? Spinning wheel, no spinning wheel? Screenshot etc. Your system has to work, so you probably do something wrong. Not much, but a little is enough to make it go €)@)&€)@!&!@

Can you elaborate on P states thing ?

Ok I'm back,

After a good night of sleep and much more research I found out I needed to update my mobo to F8. Then I went back and walked through everything again. Installed ML. Ran Multibeast with your settings first. This time I was successful in rebooting. I installed and ran Chimera 1.11.0 (what was that supposed to do?) I added things aries4life added to the org.chameleon.Boot.plist and rebooted. But things still seem to be incorrect.

My Ethernet doesnt work now (I cant find where I select Intel Ethernet), when it sleeps it goes to a white screen and a small black box where the mouse was left on the screen (but wakes up fine) and no audio.

What other checks do i need to make to see if my machine is running the way its supposed to be at its fullest?

Thanks again for all your help!
-Sean

Can you elaborate on P states thing ?

Different SMBIOS give me different P States.

If I run the iMac 12,2 I get 16 and my maximum turbo multiplier (39 if that's my max or 43 if I'm over clocking)
If I run MacPro 3,1 I get 16-17-18-19-20-and my maximum turbo multiplier.
I'm in the middle of trying some things on a fresh install at the moment so I can't grab the exact numbers but with the MacBook Pro 8,1 I get something along the lines of 16-20-24-and my maximum turbo multiplier.

After I get done with what I'm doing I'll grab the exact numbers from the MacBook Pro 8,1 SMBIOS.

Have no clue about this... How can you see the p states? Is a higher number better? Can you point me to some reading regarding this stuff please? Realy appreciate if you can give more details.

Thanks

Can anyone of you guys with this board PLEASE HELP ME?

I am stuck with the problem that it loads chimera but when I select the correct partition, it goes blank for 2 seconds or so and (really short) shows the apple logo (grey on white screen) ... then reboot.

I have been on this issue for hours now and I am really frustrated because I bought everything for this purpose (and for trusting that it would not be that big of a deal installing os x on it). My thread is being ignored so sorry if I am off topic here but I didnt know where else to look for people with the same board!

I have BIOS version F8 installed, have a core i5 3570k, 16gb ram (if it matters) and 4 harddrives.

Any help would be really appreciated!
