Hi all,
I just build my second hackintosh and I would like kindly ask you all for any help.

Everything works successfully. When I press the button "sleep" the PC immediately goes sleep. When I wakeup the PC and some USB stick or drive is plugged, I get a warning message that USB wasn't unplugged normally.

What I would like to solve is the automatic sleep. If the sleep timer is set to 1 minute sleep PC and 1 minute sleep monitor, monitor goes sleep only. This is from system.log

Probably the problem is in this: "WARNING: IOPlatformPluginUtil : getCPUIDInfo: this is an unknown CPU model 0x3a"

Anybody is able to help me? I change my "old" Asus Z68 and i5-2500k, coz I thought that sleep woks with Z77 safely.

*GA-Z77-DS3H i5-3570k can't sleep automatically

I discovered that today, regarding USB Drives not properly ejected after sleep on a GA-Z77-DS3H...
in the UEFI/BIOS needs "EHCI Hand-off" Enabled (it is disabled by default), it will take a little longer to sleep, 10sec extra, but at least wakes without ejecting hard drives...

hope that helps
I haven't tried auto sleep yet

Interesting...how did you get Snow Leopard running on a 7-series motherboard and Ivy Bridge processor? Theoretically, it can't be done.

I have an almost identical setup (i7-3770K) and the same issue with auto-sleep not working. Manuel sleep works fine, and all the connected usb peripherals work on wake-up, so it's not a big deal, but auto-sleep would be nice thou.

Doesn't anybody have any suggestions?

Strange. My rig (GA Z77 DS3H / i7-3770K / 16GB / HD6870 ) goes to sleep manually as well as automatically. My monitor is connected the HD6870 card and not to the onboard. Which is my case is the HD4000. Maybe this is why it does not work.

Here's my rig's setup: http://www.tonymacx86.com/user-buil...rooper-build-ga-z77-ds3h-i7-3770k-hd6870.html

Oh yeah, If you want to update to 10.8.2; Install the combo and reboot. After the reboot apply only the audio drivers 887b/888 > Current and reboot again.

Same issue here, no automatic sleep.

DS3H, i7 3770, Radeon 6870

Any help would be appreciated!:)

I had the same problem with no Auto Sleep on my Z77X-UD5H until I changed "darkwake=0" in the org.Chameleon.boot.plist to read "darkwake=10"

after that autosleep worked fine on my board - try it and see if it works!

I have the same config, and the same problem. I tried your fix. It works. Another thing I had to do was roll back bios to F8. on F14 it would auto sleep, but it would wake for 1 second then die for 3 seconds then repeat until I pulled the plug. F8 fixed it.

Hi,

I had the same Problem Swap Your DVD/CD Drive or disable it in the Bios than Autosleep should work. I had the same Problem with the LG drive.
