G5 Front Panel Quick Guide

Still struggling, what am i doing wrong, power button working, led working what am i doing wrong with front usb, do i need to use shielded ground, can i get away with just the 4 wires. If anyone can help would be really appreciated thanks

Power led+ power button + and one wire from each to fw ground
 
Good news got it working, i cut up an old iPhone usb cable and used that. Question though i didn't use the shielded ground because there wasn't one in the iPhone usb cable so just the 4 connections. Will this be a problem? does anyone know
 
ok got it working but connected external dvd-r and get error unstable connection, how can i fix this
 
Use shielded cable for USB and connect the shield to ground. Or, at a minimum, twist the tx+ and tx- USB data lines.

Thanks but what does twisting the lines do?
