[Fix] 10.11.4 broken audio with AppleHDA injector (dummyHDA)

I seem to have an issue. I don't have AppleHDA codec in my extension folder. Everything on my system is running fine, but I have no audio and I can't locate this file.

There is information regarding implementing audio in the FAQ.

I am having issues with sound since 10.11.4 upgrade.

I have attempted to following instructions on post #1 however can't seem to get it working.

Attached are my trouble shooting files.

Thanks

Will this work on a Folio 9470m?

Thanks

Edit: Yes it does.

Thanks

I have tried the instructions, and after no success, other stuff, like manually setting owner:group... Somehow even Kext Wizard refused to install the changed AppleHDAIDT.kext.
End of my wits is reached.
Please help. Or point me to a *really* foolproof instruction...
Thanks for input!

Your kextcache output shows AppleHDAIDT.kext is not updated per post #1.

But for the ProBook, see guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/g...book-using-clover-uefi-hotpatch-10-11.189416/

OK, got it working! Must have re-run PBI once too much without fixing the kext, thinking I already had done so. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Thanks a megaton!

Now I wonder about some funny text in the audio menu:

An easter egg celebrating the crowning of Bhumibol Adulyadej (the only king ever to play the saxophone)? But Thai script looks different -?
Could be Hebrew, and today the Germans started to surrender in WW II.
I can live with that, but am curious...
