EDIT: After reading half the forum I think I've settled on the build below, which is a very close copy of Stork's Hero build. Is there anything I should be aware of before I pull the trigger? Should I consider a liquid cooler instead of the Noctua? I chose it because it's quiet, but will it control the heat of this build?

Thanks in advance!

I'm looking to replace a early 2015 iMac Retina (maxed). We have a Synology 12 bay RAID for storage and a wired network so editing can be done on the iMac while footage and photo storage can be done on the Synology. The Synology is set up with Link Aggregation to increase it's bandwidth to the network through a managed switch.

Requirements:
-Stability: This will be used for professional video and photography work nearly full time with some gaming on the side
-Overclocked / high performance: I'd like to easily overclock the CPU to get as much performance out of it as possible for video editing
-4k / 5k display: Want to be able to drive a 4 or 5k display
-Dual boot: I want to be able to boot to windows to take advantage of PC only games
-Quiet: Does anyone ever want a loud machine?

Update: After doing more research it looks like Link Aggregation doesn't work too well on a hackintosh or a mac in general, so I'm less concerned about multiple network ports (Unless something has changed?). So that said, it looks like the recommended GB boards are all out of stock, so can someone recommend a good, easy to overclock ATX board? I need PCIe for the graphics card and wireless card. I was thinking the Asus Maximus Hero or similar pastrychef build might be a good choice with my selected hardware.

Second update: Chose a motherboard and updated the post above.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm not concerned about moving it, but you did trigger a question regarding the size: Should I have any concern with the size of the cooler interfering with any of the other listed components in the case?

gonna be a nice build, and a strong first hackintosh.

about the d15 vs aio liquid cooler. id side with the d15, it performs up there with the best aio units, with the added bonus of never having the risk of leaking. its MASSIVE though, so if you lug your system around often you might want to reconsider.

i wouldnt be worried about its footprint, its more the height and weight.
the only issue large coolers can have with other components is tall ram, but the ones youve chosen look to be fine.

Awesome, thanks for the advice!
