Hello all! I am pretty new to this type of build and this might be kind of a dumb question but let me explain what my situation is:

I recently installed OS X Yosemite and following that install I used multibeast to get the boot to work. After awhile I decided to install my eSATA ports into my tower. After successfully installing said ports, I naturally turned to multibeast to install the eSATA 3rd party and SATA 3rd party drivers. For some reason my eSATA data server would not mount. And I noticed that not even my external HDD (USB 3.0) would mount.

Any thoughts on this? (Am I missing a kext file or something?)

A more specific question, where can I go to remove these 3rd party SATA/eSATA drivers installed by multibeast??

I'll just keep documenting what my attempts are in case anyone wants to interject and stop me before I ruin my build or something. Or if I figure this out and it helps someone in the future.

So, I went ahead and booted off of my install disk (usb) and checked Disk Utility for the un-mountable drive. No luck. I had an idea to reformat the HDD with OS X installed and do a fresh reinstall. As soon as I erased and reformatted the drive, my USB external HDD appeared in the Disk Utility.

So my plan is this: I will continue with the fresh install of OS X and see if it continues to give me problems. After I have installed OS X I will power down the tower and reinstall my SATA Ports. Without trying to make any other significant changes to my drivers list.

I'll post if this works. Seems like a fresh reinstall is my best option here.

It worked! I guess a fresh reinstall is what I needed after all. Somewhere a .kext file was incorrectly installed. The only issue I am having now is that one of my sata mobo ad-dons is not functioning properly. I think that a little more tinkering should solve that issue.
