Nice build.
I am thinking about almost the same parts. Would like 32 GB ram and this GFX card: GFX: EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2048MB
Does everything work for you?
Audio?
USB 3.0?
And Auto Sleep/Sleep?

BTW are you happy with the displays? Thinking about a Dell 27" or 2x Dell 24"?

Thanks for your post and all the informations.

Just go into the bios and change the memory multiplier, leaving the xml disabled. Set it to 16 and it should change to 1600mhz.

Reboot and the memory should be running and 1600mhz.

That's what I have done.

Thanks! No more eject problems and running at the speed I want.

Audio is working, but only 2 channel.

USB 3 and firewire appear to be working, however I haven't got any devices to test with.

Sleep is fine, but auto sleep isn't working... I need to debug autosleep with http://www.dragonone.com/products/macosx/pleasesleep/

Dell IPS monitors are the best I've ever seen; perfectly calibrated colour.

Oh Nice!
Good to know. Auto sleep is kind of a big feature for me.
Is USB 3 for you working, miller hammond?

Would you recommend the board and the CPU at all?

USB 3 seems to work fine, just as long as you use the right header for the front usb sockets. The Rear sockets work great.

The board and processor are great and would recommend to everyone, only have a couple of minor niggles and they are minor, overall very pleased.
Has dealt with everything I have thrown at it, solid and stable as a rock.

In your boot.plist change the darkwake=0 to darkwake=no, this seem to fix my autosleep problems.

That works nicely... many thanks!

Autosleep now works just as well in OS X as it does in Windows 7 - it will sometimes wake up every 2 hours or so then sleep again.

I did have to turn off "Wake for Ethernet network access" in the Energy Saver control panel though.
