Thanks for your response

I just changed my MB to Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5 :D , I decided to buy it based on MacMan Build on this topic:

I'm replying to this from my first success installation of Lion on it. Hopefully not to get any Kernel Panic anymore :D

if you use VoodooHda, use AppleHdaDisabler in S/L/E

As a constructive suggestion, PX40 should be renamed LPCB and PX43 should be renamed SBUS.

In addition to the above:

1) Globally change PATA to PATX (this variable is only used in the JMB0 devices, anyway, and would conflict with a subsequently suggested change),

2) globally change IDE0 to SATA, and then change, within the SATA device tree, PRIM to PRT0 and SECD to PRT1, thereby creating a pseudo SATA device tree, and, finally

3) globally change IDE1 to PATA, thereby creating a PATA device tree.

I'll not suggest changes to the HDEF device as I expect this device will be supported by Voodoo 0.2.1 and not ALC8xxHDA + 10.6.2 AppleHDA "roll-back". If not, then the usual HDEF changes would be required.

ALC8xxHDA + 10.6.2 AppleHDA "roll-back" has been confirmed to work on Lion, so there is probably no reason not to use ALC8xxHDA + 10.6.2 AppleHDA "roll-back".

Remember, this is an AMI BIOS DSDT, so the hacks are a little different than those for an Award BIOS DSDT.

rename = no difference

Hopefully this will help others out, now that I have it running for myself =) This is a fully edited DSDT for an EVGA P55 SLI board, BIOS version A72 (09/09/10 revision date). The on-board network is still not working (Marvell Yukon 88E8057), but the latest Multibeast says it includes support for that chipset, so hopefully soon I'll be able to tweak enough to get that working too. For now, everything else on-board works, and after turning on the related options in BIOS, speedstepping works fine on my Core i5 chip. I'm injecting an EFI string for the video (NVidia GTX 470), so that additional bit is required if you're using such a card, but this at least will get all the on-board hardware working solidly for anyone with such a board. =)

Is it possible for me to use this dsdt for my evga p55 le?
where is a good web site i can use for research I wanted to use my pc with osx for adobe study until i can afford a proper imac, thanks in advance

EVGA P55 Micro 120-LF-E650

Here's my edited DSDT for the EVGA micro SLI motherboard later bios- 0407E from 8/08/2011. Everything works except sleep - I do not know why because P and C states are being generated on boot.
If anyone can help me with the sleep, I would appreciate it.
