Everyone,

I have been doing a ton of reading on these forums and I still don't know how to fix my issue.

I am running a

Asus Maximus vi Impact
Intel i7 4770K
Asus 770

I use Unibeast and when I get to the Apple logo I and then it gets ready to go to the installer it looks like my monitor goes into sleep mode. I have tried other switches and still can't get it to work.

Do I need a patched bios?

Can anyone tell me exactly how to get this to work as it is driving me nuts!

Thanks to all!

If you're using a VGA connection, don't. Apple doesn't support VGA natively.

No you don't need a patch bios, im using the same as didii's.

I got that with the onboard graphics, so i put in a gt610 and works a treat.

i was getting the same problem. did you try the boot flag -v? if so you should take note of of the last line before it hangs. i kept on trying different boot flags and nothing worked. So what i did was just boot up without any boot flags and i just let it hang for a really long time. it eventually got to the installer window.

Hey didiii, let me know if you upgrade to 10.9.2 and encounter any issues... I always have one problem or another...... And i really do not want to loose my hack again lol

Oh and upgraded again.... found a guy to buy my Classified 770 and found someone to sell me a 780 for the same price I sold my 770 for lol! oh the world of Kijiji (classified website....) anyway was super happy!

I upgraded last night, all went fine. Just need to run multibeast to put the sound drivers back.

Hi All :)
Yesterday I installed 10.9.2 on my system.
Config: 4770k\Asus Impact\GTX680\SSD Samsung 128Gb 840Pro\DVD Pioneer\BitFenix Prodigy

Asus Impact Bios options:
no legacy/ pure UEFI

Hardware Fastboot - Enable
CSM Module - Disable

I used clover r2636 UEFI install + Clover Configurator.

And Then I flashed my Ref. PalitGTX680 to ref. Asus GTX680 with UEFI bios fastboot Support
Or you can flash it to EVGA Mac pro Edition

After intallation 10.9.2, i installed 1150 sound without DSDT and Intel lan from Multibeast

Everything works fine and Realy fast. System boot time is 8.86sec. After pressing the power button .

Geekbench 64bit

Just updated to 10.9.2, I did need to run multibeast for sound.
I’m having one minor issue with iMessages. I know there is a fix for it using clover. however, if you are like me, and followed didii’s instructions down to the T. and the instructions didn’t mention anything about using clover. I am using my EFI partition to boot and i don’t want to mess with that since everything is running smoothly on that end.

as for messages, i added FileNVRAM.dylib into /Extra/modules. which didn’t work. any ideas? or if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated

For iMessage, be sure to use FileNVRM v1.1.2. http://public.xzenue.com/downloads/ If you're using v1.1.3, replace it, and, when you reboot, use UseKernelCache=No.

I recommend sticking with the Chimera/Chameleon bootloading process for now. Clover is becoming more of a mature process, but it's not ready for most of us. Tony and the gang are working on a noob Clover guide, but it is still like doing an engine overhaul w/o ever having done one before. :D So, hang in there.
