Color banding with Dell G7

No. You have two PNLF devices in ioreg.
Turns out in config.plist, ACPI/AddPLNF was enabled. I have turned it off and now in IOREG, it only shows 1 PNLF. Is this correct now?

Looks ok.

Didn't spot that in the beginning so I ended up reinstalling Mojave. Color banding still happens. It also happens in Recovery mode too.

Probably EDID issue.

1. Replace it with an 8-bit screen?

2. Or try these parameters?

Not sure if replacing the panel would work tho. Besides, my warranty hasn't expired yet so I wouldn't risk that.

Could you send me the config.plist which has those parameters? Also, do you experience the same color banding issue with your UHD 630 Mobile?

Can be solved.

GFX0 / ATY@0
I added those 2 lines in config.plist and rebooted but macOS still report 30-bit. I'm not sure if I have done correctly.

Should be added to the port number.
