Hello!
Have successfully installed Mavericks on an HP ProBook 4540s (OSX 10.9.2). The processor is a 2.39 GHz Intel Core i3. The internal keyboard and trackpad are working, but the Caps Lock on the internal keyboard is 'always on'. If I plug in an external keyboard, everything is fine. I assume this is a kext issue. I don't want to mess up my install - do you have any suggestions?

What do you mean "always on"? Is the LED always lit as well?

What was your process for installing?

Did you do an EC reset?

I note that you're posting in the incorrect forum... so perhaps you didn't follow one of the (well tested) ProBook guides?

Didn't realise that this was the incorrect forum - where should I be?
The Caps Lock LED is always lit, and the Caps Lock on the internal keyboard is always on. When I plug in an external USB keyboard, all is good. I used the guide:
Guide to Installing Mavericks on HP Probook. With boot flags: IGPEnabler=N GraphicsEnabler=N -x -v -f UseKernelCache=N dart=0

This all went well. Not sure which processor I have though - I know it's an i3. Maybe that's the issue. I'm going to try running the ProBook Installer again, and change some of the settings. I'll post back when I've tried this. Feel free to move this to the right place if that's possible...

OK, tried an EC Reset, still the same, Caps Lock always on. Have tried installing the RehabMan VoodooPS2Controller.kext - still the same. And now Sound isn't working (it was before!)
My trackpad is now working fine. Any suggestions? Also, could you recommend a compatible WiFi/Bluetooth card for this laptop (ProBook 4540s with Ivy Bridge i3 2.39GHz processor)?

You should be following one of the guides here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-probook-mavericks/

Make sure your USB is created with the latest Unibeast.

First of all, thank you for your comprehensive and well-written guides!

OK... Have followed the install guides by the letter. Caps Lock is not always on before using ProBook Installer (Caps Lock doesn't function, but at least the shift key works...). After using ProBook Installer (ProBook Installer 6.1.13r3.pkg) the Caps Lock is always on, and the shift key doesn't work. Also, strangely, Sound Output isn't working, but Sound Input is (Can see input from built-in mic).

I have selected everything related to my laptop in ProBook Installer:

4x40s support kexts
4x40s Ivy
Fan Behaviour: Readings Only
Display Type: Low Resolution Screen
SSDT Gernerator: YES
Chameleon r2377: YES
Extra Tools: YES

Where do I go from here, please?

Thanks again for all your help!
