Hope this is in the right section of the forum...
A few months ago I decided that I wanted to utilize my hackintosh's AirPlay functionality to stream my iTunes library to the Yamaha stereo in my living room. I looked into Apple's solution and found the AirPort Express ($100, Apple Store) would work...but the Apple-premium price was a little nuts, so I went on my own, DIY route.
I decided to use a Model-B Raspberry Pi ($35 on Amazon) to emulate the AirPlay receiver functionality of the AirPort Express. It works great, and I wanted to share this with the hackintosh community, so that others can get some use out of it.
I found the guide below, which takes you through installing Raspbian Linux on your Pi, then installing an open source project called Shairport, which turns the device into an audio only (no screen mirroring) AirPlay server.
Here's the article- it's really worth taking a look at if you want to get some use out of AirPlay on your hackintosh.

And here's a video from LifeHacker that captures how awesome this works:

Hope someone else finds this a cool as I do!
