build a 4k video editing workstation

I want to build my first workstation for 4k video editing.
I mainly use final cut pro x. I do not have any experience for set up computers.
After i did some research in this forum, I have a rough list of accessories:
CPU： Intel Core i7 6700K 4.00 GHz Unlocked Quad Core Skylake
GPU(*2)：XFX RADEON Double D R9 280X

I want to ask will this 2 GPU enough for 4k editing?
another questions is how to choose the motherboard and the case? cause i want some thunderbolt for my desktop hard drive. and the case must suit for the motherboard right?
Any comments and suggestions will be of great help.

You'll want to go with two Sapphire R9 280X GPUs if you still can get them. They work out of box. The XFX brand does not. For onboard Thunderbolt get the Gigabyte Designare motherboard.

Put this in a Corsair or Fractal Design ATX case. See the Buyer's Guide for specific models.
