Hi,

I have been following your tutorials and guides on installing Hackintosh on HP Probooks with configurations that are similar to my G6 Laptop. I downloaded the latest version of Yosemite and created a USB using UniBeast and MultiBeast.

Specs:
CPU: i3 3110
Chipset: HM76
Graphics: Intel HD 4000 1 Gb dedicated
Ram: 4 GB DDR3

I have successfully installed Yosemite but the main problem I am facing now is:

  1. Not able to create a OSx boot loader for loading without USB- I am using MultiBeast to create the Chimera Bootloader, but unsuccessful (have attached the MultiBeast file)
  2. I still have to use cpus=1 option for booting in HDD via the USB installer. I did try the Chameleon Wizard and applied the KernelPatcher.dylib but still I am getting Boot fail during startup.

can you please help me out in solving these issues

Hi RehabMan,

Thanks for your reply. Sorry for getting back so late. I have studied and gone through the checklist and reinstalled Yosemite twice. But still I am not able to get either boot loader or cpus=1 power management working.

I have all the 6 items from Guide - Native Power Management for Laptops checked and I have verified that _PR contains CPU information in both DSDT and SSDT files. The difference I found is DSDT file (generated using MaciASL) has CPU listing till CPU7 in scope PR while only 4 CPU definitions in SSDT file(generated from https://github.com/Piker-Alpha/ssdtPRGen.sh)

------ DSDT.aml

Scope (_PR)
{
Processor (CPU0, 0x01, 0x00000410, 0x06) {}
Processor (CPU1, 0x02, 0x00000410, 0x06) {}
Processor (CPU2, 0x03, 0x00000410, 0x06) {}
Processor (CPU3, 0x04, 0x00000410, 0x06) {}
Processor (CPU4, 0x05, 0x00000410, 0x06) {}
Processor (CPU5, 0x06, 0x00000410, 0x06) {}
Processor (CPU6, 0x07, 0x00000410, 0x06) {}
Processor (CPU7, 0x08, 0x00000410, 0x06) {}
}

------ ssdt.aml
External (\_PR_.CPU3, DeviceObj)
External (\_PR_.CPU2, DeviceObj)
External (\_PR_.CPU1, DeviceObj)
External (\_PR_.CPU0, DeviceObj)

Is that a problem? If yes then which patch should I use from https://github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch (the config for g6-2221ss is very similar to my laptop).

Do I have to custom edit my DSDT file?

Also should the DSDT filename be all in small letters?

I have also applied the KernelPatcher.dylib from Chameleon to the disk

Am I missing something

Please help

I have attached the verbose output.

You need to install the KernelPatcher module from Chameleon Wizard. Use cpus=1 as a work around until you do.

I did install the KernelPatcher.dylib from Chameleon wizard. Check the screenshot of Extra/modules

I booted with " cpus=1 -v ", there was no kernel.log in /var/logs, so I did some googling and run command "sudo dmesg" and output the content to a kernel.log (file attached).

If you need it done in any other way please let me know.

Thanks. appreciate your help!!

bdmesg will output your Chameleon bootlog to stdout.
