BitterMelon's "Chip" build: GA-Z77N-WIFI - i5-3570K - HD 6870

Hello BitterMelon!

I've finally got my hackintosh up and running.
First off I want to thank you for the great guide, but I can't get it to boot from the actual SSD (I just boot from Unibeast USB drive, which I can live with). Actually when I just (and nothing else, because I have tried to find the issue by starting from the top of the list and see when it wont boot) install the "User DSDT or Free DSDT Install" It wont boot into osx at all (installation was flawless)

But there is another issue I've run into now, I have a Steelseries Siberia V2 Frost Blue headset, and it doesn't work properly, when I speak over Skype (or anything using the mic), the mic scratches in my friends ear. I've tested the headset on a real Mac, and the problem doesn't occur on the real Mac.
And another problem I've run into is the USB ports don't charge my iPhone 5. So I think there is something wrong with the USBs, my keyboard, mice, external hdd, etc. works great. But those two things doesn't seems to work. Do you have a fix or do I have to live with it? I have tried different USB ports to see if that solved the issue, but it didn't.

I'm using the exact same motherboard as you do, if you could help or anyone for that matter, would be great!

Have you tried booting with -v (verbose) to see where it stops?

I've not heard anything about the USB ports not being able to charge. Maybe someone else can chime in on that.
 
Yeah, I've tried that, but when it "stops" with all the text, the screen went black, like it's done booting. So I couldn't really see what went wrong. But what bothers me the most is the charge/headset USB thing. I hope there is one with the same issue as me
 
Hello All,

I have a similar build as Bitterlemmon

- Intel Core i5 3570 3.40GHz
- Gigabyte GA-Z77N-WIFI iZ77
- MSI Videocard PCI-e GeForce GT640.

The thing is.. i'm only able to boot using "safe" mode using the usb-stick. Without the Usb stick, it won't boot. Even not when using safe mode.

Any ideas?
 
Built my hack with the exact part as Bittermelom. Everything is fine except my Apple wired keyboard does not turn on after wake. Anyone has this similar experience? Please enlighten me with any possible fixes.

i only change the frequency to 42 for the overclocking... thats all, ;)

I get that "popping"too along with the audio delay for around 2-3 seconds , Not really bothered about it tbh .
Anyway thanks a lot for the tut BitterMelon it really helped ! And thanks for your advice on the other thread about the mobo , Glad I went with the z77n .

For HDMI audio work with HD4000 :

Install Tonymacx86 Z77n-wifi DSDT.

And
In chameleon.org.Boot.plist, don't add the following:

If you have a problem when boot into OSX just add this :

<string>1920x1080x32</string> [adjust to your resolution].

Work into my build.
