Audio General Problems

Hello everyone. I have an ASUS Sabertooth x79 board and I've installed Yosemite twice (no iMessage but now there's a sweet guide) but neither times did my audio work. I installed the same HDA driver that I've seen other people with this build use (not the Voodoo ones), so where should I start troubleshooting or whats the problem?

And yes, I did go into sound settings and verify that there were no connected devices.

I don't think I can be any help since I haven't had much luck with Yosemite.

How did you do your install? Was it in upgrade from 10.9.x or was it a fresh install? Was it a clover install or Unibeast / MultiBeast,...?

I recommend using http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298663-applehda-for-yosemite/ as your start place. This worked for my p6tSE motherboard that didn't have any sound.
