Can you share your EFI folder?

I get to have a ״Mac Pro״ in About this mac
But without the "2019" and it drives me crazy

You need to make adjustments in your config.plist
- BiosRelease : 11/14/2019
- EfiVersion : 1037.60.58.0.0
- BoardSerialNumber : F5K936306XXXXXXXX
- SerialNumber : F5KY80TXXXXX
- FirmwareFeatures: 0xFDAFE066
- FirmwareFeaturesMask: 0xFFFFFF7F
- ExtendedFirmwareFeatures: 0x00000000FDAFE066
- ExtendedFirmwareFeaturesMask: 0x00000000FFFFFF7F

Took a chance and went directly from Mojave > Catalina via Software Update with 0 issues.
And also switched to Mac Pro SMBIOS. All perfect with no issues. (Using OC bootloader)

The only downside is the memory error notification during every boot, hoping someone will have a fix for this soon.

Could you do a benchmark with the latest version of Geekbench? I have noticed a obvious increasing METAL Compute score compare to previous version of Geekbench. I'm in iMacPro 1,1 sMBios. Hope to see the result of Mac Pro 7,1. Maybe even better?

Btw, I have the same Radeon VII card as you.

Thanks Bro!

Below are my scores in Geekbench. 62xxx compare to previous 56xxx

Will post when I'm back at the station. The plan is to add a second Radeon VII in the loop to "Max" out the system when the prices drop more on the used market.

Are there any other benchmarks I should run?

In Catalina there seems to be improvement to the Radeon VII driver (it reports correct MHz at least) but it's still not as optimized as it should be.

EDIT: Some benches.

Glad it worked, and for further detailed SMBIOS settings, here's the EFI from Mojave which is very close to what I'm using now anyway.

Thank you!!!

is there an actual advantage to doing this? My understanding is that OS X can only utilize one of these cards at a time. I’d love to be wrong about that!! :)

I have problems getting the "new" refreshed X299 boards for Cascade Lake X to run. I tried the MSI Creator X299 and currently I am sitting behind an Asus Rampage VI Extreme Encore (with a 10940X).

The first problem is that MSR Lock [Disabled] does not work. This means, I have to boot with a Kernel patch (XCPM Bootstrap) to get past Clover.

Next, the system hangs at "PCI configuration end" - on both the MSI and the Asus. I tried Clover and OC, result is the same.

Did anyone get the new boards to work?
