Just some words about the LG 43U79 screen :
Yes this screen is big... so big and perhaps "Kolossal" as Kgp would like to say ...
before that: the size of the parcel was very impressive and heavy: at the Amazon delivery point, the receptionist helped me to transport and put it on my car ...
Now on my desk the size is impressive but after booting and adjust some parameters on Catalina I must say that this screen is more comfortable even in the highest resolution close to my previous 32" Samsung UHD screen, picture quality is very good with the 10 bit YCbCr 4:2:0 color mode...so very exiting to work with it.
Now I must resolve my CAD software problem : Draftsight from Dassault System has discontinued free support. That's why I opted for ALLPLAN with a free teacher license, but this software does not offer in my opinion a complete experience for my use and sadly on Windows, I try now Blender on Catalina, hope i will find the right way ...
Hi, @xerox24! Maybe you could please share the EFI folder that you used (fine either Catalina or Mojave)? My system work perfect in Catalina 10.15.1 with my Sapphire nitro+ 5700 XT.
My system is X299, i9-7900X and SMBIOS iMacPro 1,1. All Adobe programs work accelerated for hardware, and Final Cut X work fine .
I update my system from High Sierra to Catalina with GTX 980 Ti nv-disable and change graphic. I'm using WEG 1.3.4.
Yes, it was an incredible but real clue for the aircraft companyOff topic but Dassault... like.. the aircraft company?
What is the LG's model number. TIA.My New LG 5K2K monitor

I also have X299 TUF Mark1, but I am having a hard time getting it to work with Mojave.
Thanks!
Edit: Unbelievingly I managed to make Mojave work on X299 TUF Mark1 just by ENABLING Above 4G Decoding in bios, while some earlier guides suggested to disable it!
Still, USB3.x do not work at all, only USB2.0. All the rest works very nicely - Samsung 970 NVMe disk ok, giving around 2-3GB/s speeds, graphics ok, 1Gbps LAN OK.
usb2 device in usb3 port work, while attaching a usb3 in usb3 port doesn't work at all (tried KGP's SSDTs as well).
One more quirk, just after installing OSX & EFI on NVMe drive, the bios setup doesn't seem to load anymore (gets stuck), I guess this might be related that BIOS is UEFI based.
