Specs are as following:

-ASUS GTX660-DC2O-2GD5 GeForce GTX 660 2GB 192-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
-Intel Core i7-3770 Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4000 BX80637I73770

-ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

-CORSAIR Vengeance LP 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model

-SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE500BW 2.5" 500GB SATA III TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

-Rosewill RNX-N250PCe (RNWD-11005) PCI Express 300/300Mbps Transfer/Receive Rate 2T2R Wireless Adapter

-Targus ACB10US1

During my installation I had to go into Safe Mode (-x) to even get the install to begin. I have ran through the Easy Beast function in Multi Beast 6 and I have some lingering issues.

  • The system will only boot in safe mode (When booting in verbose I receive a bluetooth error even once the USB bluetooth adapter has been removed)
  • I have no network (wireless or wired) even though I selected my applicable controller in Multibeast
  • Sound is not working I have installed the applicable drivers in Multibeast.

Any help provided is greatly appreciated.

Have you flashed your BIOS as the BIOS is present on http://biosrepo.wordpress.com/asrock/z77/ I would think for Power Management you would need to flash it as it otherwise kernel panics (KP).

Then it's also setting the right options in the BIOS, like VT virtualisation Technology should be disabled, sata mode ahci... That's to start with.

Is there no other build with the same motherboard on this board you can follow?

Thank you for posting that link, I will follow that against the steps I have taken. I see I may have jumped the gun on a few steps. I am running the BIOS off the supplied link.

I will update this thread this evening once I take another go at it.

I have the same mobo but an i5 3750 instead and a 6850 Radeon. Go here: http://quickwebgems.blogspot.com/2013/11/hackintosh-missing-bluetooth-controller.html and type the commands on the bottom. I was getting the same Bluetooth error and for some reason removing the kexts fixes it apparently.

Basically, install mavs via unibeast by using -v -PCIRootUID=0. Then boot into mavs using -v -x. Install multibeast, reboot, but boot using -s for CLI mode. Then type those commands in the link I posted, reboot, and you should be good to go.
