AppleHDA HDMI Audio [Guide]

My pc use apple display monitor with thunderbolt EX II Dual PCI.
Not the expected connection
macOS is not seeing the display supports DP audio
If possible, connect a HDMI audio capable display or receiver directly to the GTX 980 Ti
Restart, reply with new IOReg

Hello,
looking for some help with enabling HDMI audio.
Running Sierra 10.12.6 on an Asus P7H55D-M PRO, i3 550, Radeon R7 240.

The card runs fine with acceleration (connected with HDMI port) using FakeID 0x67981002. WhateverGreen makes it recognized as R7 240 while without, it appears as a Radeon 7xxx.
Tried to patch the framebuffer following @carpentryplus25 's guide as you will notice, in hopes that it could help, to no avail. Probably an unnnecessary step but since the procedure dealt with port connector id's and such, I thought it might. May have gotten something wrong anyway..

Attached you find the files required for troubleshooting.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the great work,

Bernardo

if i use windows my audio on display is works normally, PCI thunderbolt EX II only work with DP (DP VGA-> PCI ex ->thunderbolt) . I do not have a display connect HDMI. So Audio on MacOS support normally, right?
Sorry my english is very bad. Thanks for your help.

Hi,

I am moving from Nvidia 1050 to RX 580 on High Sierra 10.13.6
Got in L/E: Lilu 1.3.1 / WEG 1.2.6 /AppleAlc 1.3.4
Got 2 displays (1 DP / 1 HDMI)

Got 6 HDMI devices (no DP) with no sound - was OK with Nvidia
tried to add -igfxnohdmi boot arg -> no success
is AMD Framebuffer patch as per guide mandatory in my case (RX 580 supposed to be native)?
or something stay wrong in my configuration ?

EDIT : solved : I had VoodooHDA.kext and AppleHDADisabler.kext presents ...
removed
HDMI audio is now OK on both displays
Sorry for mistake

Thanks @toleda, I think I fixed the profile.

Graphics card is in the only slot available, that can accommodate it...
