I've almost finished building a Mavericks hackintosh with:
GA-Z87-HD3 mobo (std. bios settings)
i7-4770K CPU
Toshiba 1TB HD
8gig of RAM
(yes, very simple setup - no separate graphics card)
The setup was straightforward following the Mavericks guide. I did have the boot0 problem, but that was easily fixed. Now I have found one problem I can't seem to solve.
I cannot get the HDMI audio working. Thanks to other posts, I have audio devices installed but the HDMI audio refuses to work (at the moment I'm using a USB speaker). Other than this, everything seems to be working properly.
Here is my current, complete MultiBeast setup:
DSDT free
ALC898
HDAEnabler
3rd Party SATA
Intel Graphics Patch for Mixed Configurations
FakeSMC v6.0.1123
USB3.0 - Universal
RealtekRTL81xx v0.0.90
AppleRTC Patch for CMOS reset
Chimera v2.2.1
Basic Boot Options
Generate CPU State
Hibernate Mode - Desktop
Use KernelCache
1080p Display Mode
Mac Pro 6,1
tonymacx86 black
Thanks for your suggestions and help.
Update:
I'm not sure what I did, but I have lost all audio devices and the fixes that were previously used no longer work. I started try to add a 2nd monitor to the VGA connector, and somewhere went wrong. Not sure where to go look for my mistake, but will hold off on the 2nd monitor for now.
