Just installed a vanilla install of Sierra but was having trouble with Chameleon with the mach_kernel error.
Decided to try Clover and then on restart got this error, I then tried to use my USB install drive (which has clover on it) and the drive with Sierra installed doesn't even show up...
Hi. Does everybody know where is the kernel (new name for mach_kernel) file located in the Unibeast USB? I looked on System/Library but there is no Kernels folder. I also mounted BaseSystem.dmg but there's not even there.
Thanks in advance.
I had Mavericks hackintosh with Chimera.
I made the bootable usb with El Capitan using Unibeast.
I noticed after that I had to download Clover and erase Chimera before updating.
After the installation, it restarted and booted the USB to the clover boot loader.
However, it wasn't able...

EDIT: Managed to make something happen: Now it doesn't even let me select it as a bootable ssd. :((
Hello everyone, I hope somebody can help me.
I've searched all over the net and tried numerous fixes for this, but nothing worked, sadly.
I've installed El Capitan on my brand new SSD using...
Update it is now working fine. I had to partition to Drive and blow away previous Snow Leopard installation. Once I was using a fresh partitioned drive it went smoothly.
Crisis is over.
Hi I am new to this so I am lost.
I tried upgrading my Lion system to El Capitan but it seems that I must use the legacy option in Clover (which isn't supported for El Capitan) as I have a BIOS (F8) system and not UEFI. Is this possible? If I choose the legacy installer I get through the first wave of Installation...
I have installed OS X 10.10.4 using Unibeast 5.2.0.
When I try to boot my Yosemite partition I receive the error 'missing /mach_kernel'.
I am able to boot my Yosemite partition with Unibeast, but I am trying to boot from the hard drive itself.
Is it possible this could be from the absence of...
I have successfully installed Yosemite, but can't get it to boot up on its own. I have read through most of the posts related to the can't find mach_kernel issue and haven't been able to work out the problem of booting up without the USB drive inserted. I created the Yosemite 10.10.3...
I've succesfully installed Yosemite on my desktop following the installation guide (with the latest Unibeast). However, this is the issue i'm facing. Even though I've installed the latest Chimera with Multibeast 7.3.0 (I've even tried the standalone version), when I try to boot...
I am on my final step to getting my Asus Z87I-Deluxe running a 4770K and a Gigabyte GV-N970IXOC graphics card on Yosemite 10.10.1. I have gotten everything in the system up and running (a side from CUDA support for the graphics card) and it is working beautifully, however I have one...

I did a clear installation over guide with UniBeast.
After installed OSX when I should boot from USB bootloader and choose Yosemite drive I've got "Can't find /System/Lybrary/Kernels/kernel press any key"
But when I choose USB, it starts Yosemite! instead OSX Installer.
I'm having a problem installing Yosemite via Unibeast w/laptop support.
Now before you go saying that I need to change the directory in chameleon's plist, I have already done that. My problem is simply that my laptop appears to need mach_kernel.
I have tried using my usual boot flags to...
When attempting to boot in safe mode (-x) I get the warning:
can't find /mach_kernel
Press any key to continue...
Upon pressing 'any key' I am returned to the bootloader menu. The system boots as normal with any other flag.
I just wondered if anyone else had experienced this issue.
