Confirmed working Mojave 10.14.1 on HP EliteBook 8470p
I originally purchased this with an i5-3320M @ 2.6GHz and a 1280x768 resolution screen as a Hackintosh project. I upgraded the CPU to a Quad Core i7-3740QM @ 2.7GHz and put 16GB Ram in it. I got High Sierra to originally work, but then I...

Problem with my CPU which never change P-States (optimization of the voltage and CPU frequency during operation) and so stay stucked at 1,6Hhz (middle of the capacity of my cpu)
I'm trying to have CPU/GPU Native Power Management on 10.11 to 10.14 (Mojave) with a ivy bridge cpu...
I had success in installing os Mojave, everything works!!!
System Version: macOS 10.14 (18A391)
core i5 ( ivy bridge)
RX 580 8gb Gpu
12 gb ram
my usb installer could not boot in Hdmi mode, so I used DP for installation and then booted with Hdmi.
I've noticed when I use the ssdt generated by ssdtPRGen for power management, my graphics doesn't work properly (I think it's QE/CI). Although sometimes graphics work fine with it but randomly and rare. If I drop that ssdt graphics work correctly.
I tried beta and -c 3 switch but nothing...
This post is not intended to be an end-to-end guide to demonstrate hackintosh installation and setup. There are already many great posts for that. I want to focus on some small, but critical features after your machine is up and running. Specially on this popular, but old architecture. It's more...
I've been trying for a few days to install High Sierra on my PC, with poor results.
I've CLOVER r4411, using lastest UNIBEAST to create USB.
Can anyone suggest me which values to insert in the SMBIOS and / or which config.plist to use with the configuration that you can see in the...
Has anybody updated to HP UEFI firmware 3.06 on a HP 6300 or 8300 with an existing Mac OS install? My 8300 CMT has 2.99. I'm running High Sierra 10.13.4 (without the latest supplemental update) and using the Nvidia web driver for my GTX 1050 Ti. Everything else is set up per the Sierra/High...
The only specifically required components for this build are an ASRock Rack EP2C602 motherboard and Ivy Bridge-EP processors. Your case, ram, PSU, etc should have no bearing on your success. As noted below, the LGA 2011 socket supports both Sandy Bridge-EP (E5 v1) and Ivy Bridge-EP...

I can upgrade install from Install High Sierra.app and the USB installer, but I can't get to the second part of the installation. I can't boot the SSD. OS starts to load, but gets tuck on kextd stall ACPIP_SMC error or something.

I'm facing some problems after 10.12.6 update:
Laptop never wakes from sleep, instead it reboots.
Power Management never goes below 3Ghz in "Intel Power Gadget"
What I tried:
- Almost any flag in Clover's ACPI section
- Patching DSDT / SSDTs in Maciasl and via Clover Hotpatch
I'm considering making the switch to a hackintosh, since I acquired an old Macbook Pro and I'm in love with MacOS.
My main concern is that I'll have to go buy a completely new Mobo, CPU and RAM.
My current build is:
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77 -I Deluxe
CPU: Intel I7-3770K
Worked late on my Hackintosh build I've been using for a year now. I peacefully shut it down, and went to sleep. The next morning as I woke up, my Hackintosh didn't want to boot up so I booted in verbose mode (my bootloader is Chimera) to see what's going on.
The system did a fsck at the...
