Hi,
I have a Gigabyte Z87N-WIFI build with an i5 and a Broadcom WiFi chip I installed on the board.
I've tried Unibeast + Multibeast like I did before but unfortunately I'm stuck booting in safe mode with very sluggish interface animations. If I try to boot normally it simply never boots and...
I'm usually pro-reinstall but this time around I'm short on time and I'd really need my iCloud sync to work on both my computers so I guess I'll try my hand with the upgrade but will do a full backup anyways just in case ;-)
Now let's wait for the Multibeast update! :)
Thanks!
Hi!
I've been running Yosemite for a while on my Macbook Pro and now is the time to install it on my Hackintosh!
I've got a pretty compatible build (Z87N-WIFI with Broadcom BCM94322HM8L WiFi) that I want to upgrade to Yosemite. Would anybody tell me if the upgrade is smooth enough to be used...
Sorry about that, I was just excited to finally get some info about wether or not Yosemite works with our current hackintosh configurations. I guess I'll just have to try it for myself hehe
Hi,
For a few weeks I've been having this very annoying bug where suddenly all apps scrollbars turns black and the mouse/keyboard hangs for a few second then they reappears and mouse/keyboard are working again.
Here's a screenshot of what it looks like when scrollbars are going black...
Hi, I recently swapped my z87n-wifi wifi chipset for a Broadcom one (the suggested one everywhere) and since I changed it my iMessage stopped working. I think I'm having the same issue as you, did you ever got it back working? It's annoying that it used to work for over a year and now it...
I really don't understand why people are bashing. Before your bash, please read the changes: it's a well-needed and wonderfully packed update. A lot of good stuff in there and I'm legitimately excited for it.
And it's FREE, how can you spit on free upgrades? Yes our systems will be unstable for...
Glad to read this, I just thought I'd leave some room in case I'd want a video card and a few other SSDs, etc.
Since everybody seems to agree that this build will run OS X straightaway I'm going to order it soon! :)
Thanks everybody for the advice, greatly appreciated!
Since the 500W version of the Corsair PSU is unavailable I was wondering, would 430W suffice?
I'd pick that one http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139049 or the 600W.
Any advice? Thanks all!
EDIT: I used a psu calculator to roughly have an idea, I maxed everything I'd use...
Thanks for your response! I've been waiting for answers with excitement :P
I wasn't planning on overclocking it, which is why I took the non K model. Is there a motherboard equivalent for non overclockable cpu? I don't mind buying it anyways though.
As for the extra 20$ I don't really mind so...
Thanks for the advice, that's a great idea!

Edit: what's exciting is the fact that I have an old MacBook with old SATA, getting it running on SATA6 will surely bring some speed!
That's...
Wow! Thanks for your awesome response!
Anout the harddrive: it's a new SSD I bought a few months ago and yes it has SATA. So I could remove it from my MacBook and plug it in a hardware compatible hackintosh and it would work right away? That'd be GREAT!
edit: I wouldn't need any utility such...
