I have been trying to follow the usb threads but I am still confused. On my computer, only one of each of the built in usb ports is active. (for example: my case has two usb3 ports and two usb2 ports on the front, only one of each works.) I tried some of the solutions posted in clover...
I have the same board and have not yet been able to get El Capitan to work. Would you be able to put together a guide? Would you share your clover settings? Thanks.
I have a working yosemite installation using Chimera/Multibeast. The only thing that does not work is messages app. I understand that using Clover might help this problem.
I do not really want to start over with installing yosemite. Can I add Clover on top of my already working installation...

I do not know exactly what did the trick but all is good now.
I updated my hack (MSI Z77A-GD45) from 10.8.5 to 10.9 using unibeast 3.0 and multibeast 6.0. I had to use AppleACPIPlatform Rollback to 10.8.1 to boot without safe mode. Using Lnx2Mac's RealtekRTL81xx ethernet driver, FakeSMC v. 5.3.820, and RealtekALC892. Chimera 2.2.1.

I installed the graphics card, the firewire card and a usb card, pulled the data disks from my old rig and everything is up and running smooth. I keep my home folders on a separate disk from the SSD so I just move them over and point my user name to that folder. My Windows...
I changed to your bios (2.9). Now the computer will go to sleep at the time set in sleep preferences and wakes up fine. But if I go to the apple menu and put the computer to sleep, it will not wake up.
I did pmset -g assertions in terminal and got:

I checked and it was enabled but sleep still does not work. Any other ideas?
