I built this machine as an HTPC a couple months after the original guide came out and it is still chugging along great. Only mod Ive made is putting an SSD in it recently, after using only an HDD. It's my first and only hackintosh build and was the perfect vanilla installation for a first timer.
This is my first, and currently only, hackintosh. H77n-wifi running the i3-3225 with onboard graphics connecting a Samsung TV via HDMI.
I have a question about this build that may end up being resolved before anyone responds but thought I would ask anyways just to see if some clarity could be...
Hey guys I hope the following will be of use to someone.
I have the 2012 CustoMac Mini with the ga-h77n-wifi chipset with an i3-3225 processor. Im running the onboard HD 4000 graphics, no card. I built it when the guide came out, so initially I was running Mountain Lion on it and upgraded...
Im running the ga-h77n-wifi chipset.
I went from Unibeast/Mavericks to Clover/Yosemite because I really am attracted to the iMessages syncing with my iPhone feature. I went through the entire guide and did everything absolutely proper after getting the lockout code after trying to login into...
After the built-in bluetooth on my GA-H77N-WIFI mobo stopped working mysteriously a few days after installing Mavericks and not being able to find a solution, I finally decided to buy the IOGEAR GBU521 being that it is the recommended BT dongle for the current buyer's guide. Well, the quality...

Unfortunately this solution did not work for me. Looks like I will have to take a crowbar to my wallet and buy a new dongle. (I was using the built in bluetooth on the H77N-WIFI)
This is the exact issue I have been having and I have been combing the internet for a solution for days now. Cant wait to get home and try this. If it works, I owe you a beer!
Thanks for sharing your solution and thanks tonymac for making this all possible!
Oh and for what it's worth, on the Bluetooth Preferences Panel, the button that reads "Turn Bluetooth Off" is grayed out and not clickable. Not sure if that would be of importance for diagnosis.
Hello,
I have searched the forums here as well as the broader web for a solution to my problem and haven't been able to find anything yet. Thank you all in advance for any help. I apologize if I overlooked something.
I am running an H77N-WIFI with an i3-3225 and no graphics card. About as...
I used the combo update to update my h77n-wifi & i3-3225 running 10.8.4 to update to 10.8.5. HDMI audio worked without running multibeast but I lost my other output options. I of course ran multi-beast using the dsdt for my board, which is supposed to be for HDMI sound only, and restarted. I...
Thanks so much for this guide. It worked perfectly for my magic trackpad as well as the wireless keyboard for those asking/wondering. Now if only my mobo's BT had BIOS support so I could choose a boot option in Chimera I would be in heaven with this setup. I have heard you can get a really...
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Cant wait to get home and try this out. I love my magic trackpad and definitely don't want to give it up when I boot Windows.
The CustoMac Mini guide states that the wifi capabilities of the h77n-wifi does not work under OS X. As far as getting the bluetooth to work, you have to connect one of the wifi/bluetooth antennas that was provided with the motherboard to get the bluetooth devices to connect. If you are looking...
So I am running an h77n-wifi and i3-3225. I switched to iTunes 32-bit mode and it the only difference was it played about the first three or four seconds before it showed the HDCP error. I have a pretty new Samsung that I am using for my display via hdmi. I had trouble viewing a rental...
