[Help] HP Probook 4530s - Screen goes black mid-boot after using PBI.

I'v done everything according to this guide: [Guide] Install 10.11 on HP EliteBook/ProBook/others with Clover UEFI During boot right after using PBI my screen fades to black as if it was going to sleep. (As far as I can tell OS still boots up - only screen shuts down) I'm still able to boot...

    Touchpad errors causing freeze.

(ProBook 4350s) Touchpad errors causing freeze. Ever since upgrading to 10.9.3 on my ProBook 4350s I'v had a following problem: Any contact with Touchpad will cause errors to flood Console (at the rate of about 1k per sec): kernel[0]: ApplePS2SynapticsTouchPad: Unexpected byte0 data (2e) from...

iPad air vs Mini 2 for development

I'm in a process of transfering from doveloping for iPhone to developing for iPad. I'v decided that the best value for my money would be the newest version, as its the only one with 64bit chip - so it would stay relevant longer. Now the question is wether I should pick Mini or full-sized...

    Basic question about power management

Yes, I read it, and since I have 1st generation processor, I used iMac 11.1 sysdef. There are ~7 p-states according to MSDumper. But all this steps are identical for all cores, and thats what I'm wondering about. I dont realy have a lot of knowledge concerning processors, so maybe I'm missing...

    Basic question about power management

I'm sorry if this has already been answered. I'b been trying to solve overheating issue with my processor, and while I was watching HWMonitor logs I realized, that all cores run with exactly the same multiplier and frequency. With got me wondering if its suppose to be like that? I doesn't seem...

    Speedstep pros and cons

I'm in a kind of in a similar situation. I just finished my build, but instead of Nullcpu I installed SSDT for i7 sandy (I have Core i7-870) from multibeast 6.0. It didn't break anything, but it will require some time to adjust. Apparently using Nullcpu causes your cpu to work at the highest...

(GB H55M-UD2H) Mavericks not detecting mouse and keyboard

Well, I found a solution for my ati, and its running smooth. From What I can gather most of 5xxx and 6xxx series are usable on 10.9, you just have to tinker with some kexts. I will post how I did it when I'm done. Now the only thing left is SSDT, with causes all 8 cores of my cpu to run at...

(GB H55M-UD2H) Mavericks not detecting mouse and keyboard

I have updated my bios to F11, added DSDT.aml to Unibeast USB, and got through installation and first boot without any problems (no flags required so far). I'm yet to use MultiBeast (still trying to figure out settings). Installation with DSDT provided working ethernet, wi-fi and usb. Audio...

(GB H55M-UD2H) Mavericks not detecting mouse and keyboard

I'v managed to reach Installation (using latest Unibeast), but nether my mouse nor my keyboard is working. I'v tryied 3 diffrent keyboards (both usb and ps2) and 4 diffrent mouses (also usb and ps2), and nothing. Not even lights on the keyboard. (and just to be clear they are working in bios...

Mavericks OSX Black screen on Boot

I have exactly the same problem with my 8800GT. (Previously running 10.7 with no problems). If any 1 has any idea how to fix it, that would be great, since I cant replace my card for now :/.

    Removing Turbo from Installer SSDT

Thats exactly what I did. Sorry if I wasn't clear. Just to clarify: Installer generated, working SSDT (with unwanted Turbo) - ; Same SSDT, just with turbo freq. removed (not working, causing error on boot) - For now I have changed all turbo frequencies to 2300, and its working, but I would't...

    Removing Turbo from Installer SSDT

I would like to remove Turbo frequencies from SSDT generated by Probook Installer. I'v tried following this guide (I'v removed unwanted frequencies and changed number of definitions to appropriate), but it causes P-State Stepper Error 18".

High temperatures (up to 80c when idle)

Its kinda warm here (but far from 48c), so I decided to test everything during night time when its get much colder - almost no difference. I would also blame the hardware, if not for Windows. It runs at stable 50c with fans under 3k. I'm not sure how to get the rest of sensor data tho :/ I...

High temperatures (up to 80c when idle)

I used Probook Installer, and I picked System Definition for Sandy Bridge i3/i5 (I have SB i5). SSDT generated by Installer gave me about the same temperatures/bettery life as everything else. That's why I'v tried different SSDTs. My HWMonitor right now (totally idle, only Activity Monitor...

High temperatures (up to 80c when idle)

No sure how to check if its working correctly, but I'v applied SSDT form Multibeast for my cpu. It fixed remaining time displayed under battery, but that's it.

High temperatures (up to 80c when idle)

Ambient is at about 10-15c less than cpu. Also battery is loosing 1% of charge every minute, with makes me think it might be a DSDT problem. I'v installed all patches via Probook Installer, should I try to re-do it with MAciALS?

High temperatures (up to 80c when idle)

Ambient is about 15c lower then the cpu. What makes you think its a heatsink? Also there is another symptom: battery looses 1% of charge every minute, witch is kinda fast.
