Thank you, RehabMan. Easy UEFI on Windows works for me. Now my UEFI boot entries are very clean. But my clover boot menu still has a few items I want to delete. How to do that?
I upload the pictures, I only want to keep 8, T, X --- 3 items
8 -- Windows 8.1
T -- Yosemite
X -- Recovery...
My Dell 7737 works fine with these configuration
Original Hard Drive -- Windows 8.1
Replace optical drive with HDD caddy, install 128GB SSD and Yosemite on it.
Clover boot loader menu list the options for me to choose Windows or Yosemite to boot.
The only thing I feel so confused is:
Clover...
I feel it pretty stable on my 7737. Playing Starcraft II (1920x1080, Medium settings), League of Legends (1920x1080, High settings) . Both are OK.
The real good thing about i7 (4510U -- low voltage CPU) with Yosemite is -- I feel the laptop keeps cool for most of the time, even playing the games.
Just upgraded to 10.10.4 last night, lost sound on my Dell 7737 with AppleHDA ALC283 (Realtek ALC3223).
It seems clover patch for AppleHDA does not work with new AppleHDA.KEXT in 10.10.4

That is some sort of working:
It does not support plug and play. I need to reboot with HDMI connected with external monitor. external one is showing, internal is messing .
then change to mirror on, both are showing up. then change to extended and change external resolution. both are OK.

In my /Extra folder, there is only one file SSDT.aml
it is created at the early stage when I setup this machine, afterwards, it seems never be updated.
I use Clover, I guess you want me to post Clover folder, not /Extra folder.
I really cannot understand where could be the wrong point.
Let me repeat what I did -- I have
DSDT.dsl, SSDT-7.dsl and SSDT-8.dsl in My Desktop DSDT folder.
Those are the codes that applied with existing patches which make HDMI and other things working.
No compiling errors. I use them to...
I am not sure what could be wrong.
I just followed the same way to patch DSDT.dsl, copy the code to patch window and apply the code.
for SSDT-7.dsl and SSDT-8.dsl. there is nothing could be applied.
Then I created DSDT.aml, SSDT-1.aml, SSDT-2.aml also with /extra/SSDT.aml
replacing the...
Yes, exactly followed every step from it and even watched a couple of Youtube instruction video.
No mistake, just did not find the great tools for that!

Make this more clear:
if the SD card reader is using Alcor Micro Corp chip-set. you can use this forum to make it working as Apple Internal SD Card Reader. otherwise, the method won't work.
These laptops use Alcor SD Card Reader:

Lenovo B480, B580, B485, B490, B590...
That is super!!! it seems clearing up some default cache of Yosemite and wake up some functions inside. appreciated again for your magic solution.
My Profile has been updated.
My Laptop:
System: Dell Inspiron 17 7000 - 7737 (Clover)

See attached CPU-Z screenshots
I found this forum and read through it, now my HDMI is fully functioning: mirror mode, extended mode, HDMI-audo. Great thanks...
I am hanging on the same issue as you, mirror is good, extended mode, internal display becomes flickering and artifacts
What is "a small resolution change" you made?
Really appreciated.
Thank you, RehabMan
I forced boot resolution to 1920x1080 in clover GUI/ScreenResolution configuration, normal boot or restart shows correct ratio of all those icons now.
I also applied the patch for boot-screen fix in config.plist from [Fix] Resolve boot screen garble.
