Also, @mlg thanks for the awesome work!
updated using the the command line tool.... made me very happy as it updated while I was just typing away :D
If anyone is interested, just run:
> sudo softwareupdate -i -a
Btw, I am trying to get my HD530 to work but still not success with lilu and the intelpatch. I am running on my gtx950...
Hey guys, I have my build up and running with my GTX 950 but even after installing Lilu and IntelGraphicsFixup kexts, it seems macOS isn't seeing the HD530. Any ideas on how to tackle this? I had my HD530 working in 10.12.4 but it's a no go in 10.12.5, at least till now
There has been some chatter in the inter webs about better support for NVMe drives in 10.13. So, moving forward, does that mean we wouldn't need to use patches for drives like Samsung NVMe 960 pro?
Hi all,
I followed the guide to setup my audio through my gtx 950's DP and it's working on one of my monitors. The 2nd monitor doesn't show up in the audio output panel. While tinkering with DDC panel app, its unable to fetch EDID from my second monitor. I am guessing that's the issues. Any...
Did you try AGDfix for the Nvidia card?
That pretty much takes care of the blank screen issue after installing the Nvidia web drivers & activating it using clover's plist
TBH 950 works quite well if you don't need to push the boundaries with heavy editing & gaming. If you are aiming for a production machine, 970/980s would definitely save you time on the rendering end.
Hi guys,
Asus came out with Zenbook 3 UX390UA and the specs are much nicer than the MacBook as it can be bumped to Core i7. What do you guys think, does it have good macOS compatibility? I am guessing the first thing to go would be the wifi card.
Also, I am guessing the new Kaby Lake wouldn't...
Here's the link to 10.12.1 compatible CUDA driver if any one needs it. https://developer.nvidia.com/compute/cuda/8.0/Prod/local_installers/cuda_8.0.47_mac-dmg
I would say give this a try. Its specific to USB changes in Sierra https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/usb-new-raise-port-limit-patch-for-macos-10-12-sierra.202329/
Here's the solution for Sierra. There's a new patch for USB to raise port limit and this seems to solve the USB 3.0 problem too. https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/usb-new-raise-port-limit-patch-for-macos-10-12-sierra.202329/
I just got it to work. Follow New Raise Port Limit Patch for macOS 10.12 Sierra and edit the config.plist:

Are you using USB 3 ports? On my Z170x-UD5 USB3 isn't working. But, when I connect my hard drives using USB2 they do work.
There are some solutions but not sure which ones are working. Here is one for Gigabyte motherboards: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/native-usb-2-0-usb-3-0-on-skylake.202787/
I would suggest getting a GTX 950 as its quite well supported. There's not much movement about when the 10X0 cards will be supported on mac from nvidia. So, I would say until then, 950 would be quite a reliable card.
