    Asus Z590i Gaming Wifi w/ Thunderbolt 4 Hot Plug - i7-11700K Rocket Lake - 6800 XT

I somehow broke Thunderbolt entirely when I either a) updated OC and kexts and/or b) made my custom USB map. What should I read up on as to what's important for Thunderbolt to work again? The TB controller on this board is unstable anyway; I sometimes need to reinstall the drivers manually until...

    Asus Z590i Gaming Wifi w/ Thunderbolt 4 Hot Plug - i7-11700K Rocket Lake - 6800 XT

In case this is useful for anybody -> my EFI folder, OC v0.8.3, all kexts updated; The USB map is specific to my needs -- internal WIFI card that comes with the board disabled (but still installed for Windows), secondary Apple WIFI card in M.2 slot. Remapping USB ports is simple using USBToolBox.

    Asus Z590i Gaming Wifi w/ Thunderbolt 4 Hot Plug - i7-11700K Rocket Lake - 6800 XT

I went ahead and tested all the ports with USB2 and 3 devices, and I got a working 15 port configuration/kext using USBToolBox. Bluetooth is now working with my BCM4360 via M.2-adapter + internal USB2.0 header. I disabled the USB for the WIFI6 card (which I still use in Windows), as well as the...

    Asus Z590i Gaming Wifi w/ Thunderbolt 4 Hot Plug - i7-11700K Rocket Lake - 6800 XT

One last problem I encountered today is, that the one internal USB2.0 header on the board isn't mapped. I use it for both the Apple BCM4360 Bluetooth and the Kraken X63 pump. Can you tell me how I should go about mapping those 2 USB ports based on your config without redoing the entire map?

    Asus Z590i Gaming Wifi w/ Thunderbolt 4 Hot Plug - i7-11700K Rocket Lake - 6800 XT

Geekbench results are great -> Hotplugging works with my UAD Arrow interface. What an awesome machine this is now. Installing a native WIFI card next, but that shouldn't be a problem. This will probably be my last Hackintosh. Thank you so much for all that work you did on TB4 support...

    Asus Z590i Gaming Wifi w/ Thunderbolt 4 Hot Plug - i7-11700K Rocket Lake - 6800 XT

I got it to work in 12.4 using only the SSDT-I225V.aml file (the kext is effectively commented out by min-version 22.0.0 for now), BUT -- BUT!! -- it won't get an IP address without setting the speed manually to 1000baseT first. I can live with that though. So if anybody has the same problem -...

    Asus Z590i Gaming Wifi w/ Thunderbolt 4 Hot Plug - i7-11700K Rocket Lake - 6800 XT

Thanks for the update; I have an entirely different issue now - after a crash, macos won‘t boot anymore using the exact same configs that worked before. It won‘t boot the Monterey USB installer either. I get stuck around AppleACPICPU Processor IDs. Tried resetting NVRaM, doesn‘t work. Gotta try...

    Asus Z590i Gaming Wifi w/ Thunderbolt 4 Hot Plug - i7-11700K Rocket Lake - 6800 XT

I just so happens that I built nearly the exact same board/cpu combo a few months ago. Sliger SM580 instead of the NZXT, and a Kraken X63 instead of the one that's built into the NZXT case. Now that I bought a 6600XT, I wanted to see if I could replicate this macOS install. Dual Booting of two...

    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

Happens on both my NUC8 and NUC10; it's definitely the broken DRM on Intel iGPUs. This is also the official position of the OpenCore documentation: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Post-Install/universal/drm.html >> "DRM is broken for iGPU-only systems".

    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

You can sacrifice your NVME slot for a native Apple WIFI card. You'll have to use a 2.5" SSD for your OS, unless you wanna boot off an SD card (which is rather slow). You'll need an adapter, a first party card, and a 1.25mm JST USB-cable. Also, since there is very little room inside the case...

    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

Yeah, that official Intel product page is confusing, since it claimed "UHD for 10th gen", but maybe that's on purpose - I've seen reviewers and other sites stating that the UHD graphics in the 10710u is just the regular UHD 620; here for instance...

    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

Just to compare, I ran Geekbench on my Lenovo T580 Catalina machine, i7-8550u with UHD 620 (with the exact same RAM configuration): Single Core 1020 Multi Core 3392 Metal 4601 Nuc10 i7-10710u with UHD620 seems to be consistent with "other" UHD620. Or am I missing something?

    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

Bummer. Maybe they'll fix it in whatevergreen someday. For what I'm doing with this thing, I'm set though - a little bit of light Photoshop/Lightroom, mostly DAW/music production work and a little bit of O365 for work.

    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

I tried this repo here with Monterey >> https://github.com/hackintosh-efi/intel-nuc10 And I'm happy to report that it does work rather well. My 4K monitor gets 60Hz via HDMI 2.0, sound is working over HDMI and USB-C. The monitor is recognized as a 5K/UHD+ (quad 1440p), even though it's a...

Not working with my device; can you post your EFI folder maybe? Thank you.

    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

Because I said I would check -- I checked my NUC8i7BEH yesterday. Working perfectly in BigSur, crashing in Monterey after a minute or two. My config there also has a FakePCIID.kext which was necessaty for Catalina. However, unlike the NUC10 config, the NUC8 config still works without...

    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

Yes, deactivating FakePCIID leads to no sound even after yesterday's updates to AppleALC and Co.

    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

I still have a NUC8i7BEH as well; I might try doing an update there in a week or two, just to check. In the meantime, I reinstalled Big Sur on the NUC10, and it's working well now. Still would like to learn about what that FakePCIID thing DOES exactly. Turning it off leads to non-working audio.

    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

I am happy to report that after updating to the latest AppleALC 1.6.6 (alcid=24) as well as Lilu and Whatevergreen today, both back ports on my NUC10i7 - USB-C and HDMI - work simultaneously and I can now freely switch between audio between both monitors, plug and replug without breaking sound...
