Worked like a charm for GA-G41M-ESL2
had to use GraphicsEnabler=Yes, PCIRootUID=1 for install and first boot up - Set Up boot loader with Multi-Beast and selected lnx2mac realtek driver. Works like a charm.
I use an external firewire audio card so I didn't have to deal with audio drivers...
Unibeast Black Screen of death.. - noob Quesiton.
Thanks for the quick response..
So I just hit space and litteraly type: GraphicsEnabler=Yes PCIRootUID=1 on one line and hit enter and that should do it ?
Sorry for the lack of simple info.. :(
I appreciate the help.

Ok so I have the dreaded black screen after apple logo while trying to install Mavericks.
I noticed some instructions in another thread:
Just a reminder- we've switched up the default boot flags to GraphicsEnabler=No IGPEnabler=Yes. You may need to use alternate flags at the boot screen...
Check your BIOS and make sure that the Mouse and Keyboard USB options are enabled.
I have the same board and had the same issue. There is an option in the bios to enable those with USB. It should work just fine after that.
Good Luck.

Re: Question regarding new Multi-Beast
Ok.. Figured it out...
New Multi-Beast does not have NVEnabler in it.
Installed that Kext and everything is working fine with the graphics..

Hey all..
I just a clean re-install (still working out system kinks for music) and I'm not able to get the system to recognize my EVGA 9500GT vid card.
I noticed there is a newer Multi-Beast than the last one I used.
I used the easybeast selection - No Nvidia drivers in the list of graphics...
Hey all..
After trying to get some sound working with my old audigy card, I decided just to use the on-board sound on my G41M motherboard.
Output and input work fine. I just have the constant hissing sound (like snow sound on a tv)
I'm using SL 10.6.7 and the VooDooHDA kext. It seems to be...
All I can suggest is stay away from this one:
http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=45955 ... .com%20Ltd
The site says it's native MAC supported and I couldn't get it to stop popping and dropping audio. I'll admit the thing just plugged in and there was 5.1 analog no problem - for about 20...
Mine is actually hardware related.
There are 3 jacks on the motherboard and they have to be configured with software (in windows) to actually be 5.1 surround. Right now, all I have it center channel which is just a standard stereo setup.
That just won't do..
ordered something that should be...
I have the same board rev 1.4 and couldn't get the audio to work with any ALC kext file.
I ended up using the VooDooHDA and I have sound.
No 5.1 (the jacks are software driven in windows for 5.1 and 7.1) but atleast I get stereo sound.
Good Luck

Thanks for the tip.
I actually did just that and it's working but it's not 5.1 - no real control over the jacks on the back. But some audio is better than none I guess.
Working on a possible solution - there are some external USB (MAC Compatible) 5.1 and 7.1 soundcards out there for 30-50...
Hey all..
Well, I have been following some guides here on installing the proper drivers for the ALC888b that I have on this G41M-ES2L motherboard.
System profiler shows there is something there but the sound icon is greyed out and I cannot use it.

Hey all...
I decided to go out and build a new box for the hack.
I went with a dual core this time (better on the wallet)
Basically my set up is:
Gigabyte G41M-ES2L Motherboard.
Intel Dual Core - E5700 3.0Ghz
4GB 800MHz RAM
EVGA 9500GT graphics.
I had the vid card working in another hack...
I actually used the iBoot-GE as listed in the beginning of this thread.
Not sure why it's happening.
My vid care is a PNY GTX470 maybe that has something to do with it? Not the right manufacturer? Who knows...
Sith
470 works 100%??
I must be doing something wrong then. I just keep getting prompted to restart the PC after some time of the apple logo and the spinning thing.
Not sure what's causing...
Put the iboot in - F5 - SL 10.6.3 grey screen with logo comes up - spinner underneath
then the message to...
Well - I may just have to do that then in the next few days. :headbang:
Been looking at my GTX470 sitting in it's box for the last 5 months or so. :banghead:
Thanks to everyone involved in making this happen. Your efforts are appreciated by us noobs to the scene.
Sith
Can this process be used with the GTX470 card installed for clean install or is this to be done using another compatible card then swapping?
Thanks
Sith
