G41M- ES2L onboard sound hissing

Hey all..

After trying to get some sound working with my old audigy card, I decided just to use the on-board sound on my G41M motherboard.

Output and input work fine. I just have the constant hissing sound (like snow sound on a tv)

I'm using SL 10.6.7 and the VooDooHDA kext. It seems to be the only one that works..

Am I missing something here in terms of removing old kexts or anything else that may be causing the hiss... I know it's not the speakers, they work just fine on another PC.

Anyhelp would be appreciated.
